Other reviews have said to get front row if you can. Well, we had them. We were on the stage with the actors literally inches from us. We went to see Taking Steps and it was one of the funniest performances I have seen. The...More

We went to see the play "Lip Service' at the Ensemble Theatre in Kirribilli. I was impressed. We got a drink at the bar before the show. The Theatre was well designed, the space well used, the seats wide and comfy, great view of the...More

We enjoyed Ensemble Theatre Production of Neville's Island. We laughed and gasped and fretted throughout the engaging performance. The theatre is a small classical yet modern theatre with a tiered semicircular very comfortable seating with good viewing for all patrons to the stage below. We arrived...More

I've had an annual subscription for many years and most of the plays are outstanding. Even if there have been a few over the years which weren't to my liking, the acting at every play has been superb. The most recent play I saw, Lip...More

Reading the reviews of the Ensemble Theatre we must be the odd ones out. Last night we went to the theatre to see the play Lipstick. We arrived early to have dinner first in their restaurant. Restaurant hadn't opened so waited in the rather shabby...More

I based a short stay in Sydney around seeing Neville's Island at the Ensemble. It was my first visit to this gem of a theatre, and the experience was perfect. The tiny theatre surrounds the floor-level stage so that the audience is drawn in to...More

I have an annual subscription because quite frankly it is extremely rare that you will see a play here that won't impress. Only a small theatre but with an amazing ability to transform itself into virtually anything. The sets are amazing and so cleverly done...More

No doubt, our experience was enhanced by the recent David Williamson play, Odd Man Out, but going to this local theatre is such a treat from the room outself with no bad seats, then having a drink (fairly priced for the location) with that wonderful...More

Wonderful production The recent production of Akroyd's "Relatively speaking "showcases great Australian acting talent. Hilarious. Where the Sydney theatre company can be about pomp and arrogance, the Ensemble brings acting in to the suburbs with great skill. For anyone a wonderful experience.

Have been going here for years and finally got around to reviewing it. This is a superb place to watch professional theatre. The front row is actually on the stage floor so be careful sitting there during comedies as you can find yourself part of...More

I think your family is a little young for the Ensemble. I would recommend Aladdin the musical and check the Opera House for special shows, especially since it is the holidays.
