The number of vehicles, uniforms, guns, documentation etc and the effort made to collect this is certainly astonishing. This is a piece of WW2 you cannot experience through books and movies and certainly a must see.
Lack of any descriptions in English and pretty basic arrangement of the exhibits are the reasons the grade is not five points.

The museum is reasonably priced given the content. I have visited national collections with less to offer in my time. Extremely well presented offering a clear view of the exhibits (not always the easiest of tasks, too often other museums cram exhibits) The lack of labels (at the present time) combined with the French museums (general trend across whole of France) love of poor mannequins were the only real issues.... Strongly recommended if you are in the area !!

Good display of military memorabilia, as well as a boat in its own dock. Many of the items on display are not labelled or are in French only. There is a good restaurant and play area for children, which adults can use as well.

MM Park has an impressive collection of military vehicles, all wonderfully restored, including a German Patrol boat, they also have a extensive collection of uniforms. While all the signage had space for English and German, they were only in French. There was no explanation about the uniforms. I think having a background and explanation for both the military equipment and uniforms would bring the exhibition alive, and put in context what you are seeing, ie what particular theatres of war the various equipment was engaged in. I would have loved English subtitles to find out about the Sussex regiment that operated behind enemy lines, such an incredible story of bravery, but totally lost without translation

Situated out of Strasbourg it is easy to drive to and lots of parking. Costs to enter however it is a most amazing collection of world war 11 weapons, uniforms, vehicles tanks and motorcycles. We wandered around and were taken aback at the number of exhibits and the quality of the presentation. Stayed for about three hours including a ride in the fighter simulator. The only negative was that few of the exhibits had their English translation so had to work out some details. High recommended. Good for families and children.

My kids were well entertained despite the fact that no English was available through out the museum.

Took my 10yr old there and we were blown away. Incredible collection and so well done. The uniform collection is huge and fascinating (although for this ex Aussie Digger the Slouch Hats were round the wrong way). Anyway, a fantastic museum and would go again, even had a kids high ropes course and not a bad little cafeteria too. Virtually no one there as it’s out of town so had the place to ourselves. Loved it.

I took my boys, age 3 and 6, whilst Mum was shopping in Strasbourg.

They loved it.

There is a quite sophisticated play area/basic restaurant at the end, which is more catered for older children:

- climbing area, with proper harnesses, large,
- simulation machine.

Also, the shop at the end is relatively good value, with a good choice for younger and older children.

EUR 15 for the boys and I, bargain.

This museum is worth the time and effort to go and see if you are interested in a large display of Military vehicles, arms, uniforms and other displays. Some displays interactively allow you photo opportunities for the young and, the young at heart. The vast displays of so many examples of the various Allied, German and other forces is extensive. Most displays have information in French, German and some limited English. You can still interpret these sufficiently to have an appreciation of the displays. Public transport was a bit of an issue due to strike actions and so with limited services we caught a Taxi which was about $30 Euro each way. Highly recommended.

For anyone with an interest in Military stuff particularly WW2 this has to be one of the best museums there is. Getting to this museum is difficult without a car - just ask the Tourist Office in Strasbourg how to get there by bus. A taxi is about €30/€40 but it's so worth it. Don't expect English translations on the exhibits or even sometimes French explanations. It's the sheer amount of stuff they have and there's lots of items you wouldn't see in British museums. How they acquired all the hardware alone is awesome and they have the finest collection of WW2 uniforms I've ever seen. Some children would enjoy it as there's an assault course, computer games and fun things for them to do in the large Cafe.
