Austere Sicily, charming
Jun 2019
Great charm in these austere Sicilian interior towns. Compact pedestrian center. Not much to see, but atmospheric. And you can always find a decent coffee or bite to eat.

Beautiful little town with stunning views
Aug 2018 • Couples
Beautifully maintained medieval town. We parked the car outside the centre and walked around. It's easily walkable, stunning viewpoints, some nice cafes/bars and friendly people.

Timeless
May 2017 • Couples
Beautiful spot in the Sicilian mountains and it got all you need for a short stay. There are enough churches if you want to prey, restaurants to eat and hotels for a goodnight sleep. Enjoy the panorama en buy yourself an ice cream.

A kiss from the soul
Apr 2017 • Friends
Such a breath taking, scenic, peaceful place where tranquility meets the soul and gives one that refreshed rebirth within historical places and undamaged nature.

Nice and quiet
Jan 2017 • Family
Breathtaking views and very nice people. Roads are narrow and paved in stones. Very romantic place and if you are lucky like us to encounter snow, then you hit the jackpot.
One recommendation is that if you are driving, which I definitely recommend, make sure you have wheel chains.

A well-hidden, perfect little town
Jul 2016 • Couples
Petralia Soprana lies over 1100 meters above sea level, on a hilltop that rises above most others in the area. You can literally see half of Sicily from here, including Etna (some 50 mi/80 km away).
It's a picture-perfect town with old stone buildings, quiet, winding, narrow streets and hidden piazzas with old fountains. The place is so calm that in the middle of July there were only three tourists in town, and that includes the two of us.
Don't miss a walk between the Piazza Duomo and the belvedere behind the church at the southern tip of the town!
