My brother and I went here whilst staying at the Royal blue hotel. We have very little experience quad biking but the staff made sure we got to grips with it in no time. Very affordable, good route off road and a great atmosphere.

Really fun and you get your money’s worth with a full day of ATV time. Sandwiches and water provided. You also can buy a beer or soda at one of the stops.

Took our 8 year old son and he had a blast.

Really amazing views.

This week we had a amazing quad safari, we took the "wild ride" and it takes you into the backlands of Rethymno. Wonderful views, loads of fun driving offroad on tracks that we would never have found ourselfs. The view above the lake is really amazing.
Standing at 600m high, we had a 360' view over Rethymno, Psiloritis, the White mountains and the (artificial) lake Potami.
Steve, a really relaxed guide, answered all our questions and really made us feel comfortable driving the quads. As it was our first time on one of those things, i was worried at the start but that disappeared very soon. He takes it slow, gives plenty of time to shoot pictures and made us laugh our heads off. Steve, if you read this, many thanks!! It was a amazing ride.

This is not for the inexperienced. Instruction was a 1 min introduction to the quad, followed by a 1 min drive around the car park. This does not prepare you for the narrow, technically difficult terrain, with steep drops to the side. My daughter rolled the quad on this difficult terrain, and both her and my wife where trapped underneath, but the guide (not instructor!) was way ahead an unaware. Only fellow guests and a following guide from another tour where able to help. There is no emergency plan in place. On return ( they had to continued on the damaged quad) Voyager where only concerned with the damaged quad and did not ask about the welfare of the family who where covered in blood and bandages. Very disappointed.

The good reviews are from a few years ago and I can only assume the company has had some staff changes since.

I booked this excursion about a week in advance of the intended day. I was told to wait at 8:30 but to arrive five minutes before. I'm punctual so arrived ten minutes before (8:20) just in case they came earlier than anticipated. After 20 minutes I attempted to ring them, 30 minutes I messaged via WhatsApp (no reply) and a phone call again. At 9:10 (50 minutes of waiting) I returned to Klados whom I had booked the excursion with, she was very apologetic and stated this had happened "quite a few times" with this company. She phoned them and repeated "what am I meant to tell the client?" Before the phone was put down on her. Luckily she refunded my 20€ deposit and I didn't go quad biking. Personally if a company thinks they can treat their clientele like this then their excursion can't be much better. I wouldn't recommend, clearly.

We booked the morning quad safari with Voyager Adventure Quads through our local Klados office, paid a deposit and was there when they rang Voyager to confirm the booking and give them our hotel name for the pick up. The day of the excursion we was outside our hotel ten minutes early, waited for 20 minutes and then messaged them on whatsapp to see how long they'd be but got no reply. We waited another 10 minutes and then tried to phone them but it went to voicemail, so we walked down to our local Klados office and they phoned them for us and were told that they weren't coming to get us. No explanation was given as to why and they offered no alternative for when we could do the excursion. The lady at Klados apologised profusely and gave us a refund and said she would not be dealing with them again because this was the second time it had happened. Very disappointed in how we have been treated.

We did the sunset cruise, this entailed us getting picked up from our hotel at 4.30 pm, we then arrived at he voyager quad place, were we were all briefed and had a practise run on our quads.
We then went off road and saw some amazing sites, the quads were very easy to ride and easy to manoeuvre,
In our group were 10 people 5 quads as lots of people tended to share and swap half way through at the end of the tour we went to the restaurant fantastiko were we went to see the sun set however was a cloudy evening so wasn't as good as it could have been but still amazing, the hosts were very welcoming where water and raki was served with a selection of cretan delights. Restaurant fantaskio is the highest restaurant in rethymnon,
The guide of our tour was so friendly and fun to be with he well made the tour. guys name was manios .
the tour was only 2 hours from pick up to drop off but we were gone 4 hours.
Only recommendation i would have is to maybe take a face scarf as can be quite dusty and defiantly don't wear best clothes as filthy when we got back 100% ace
We paid 70 euros for the sunset cruise for 2 people sharing

We went on this as a family of 4 and had a great few hours. We choose the sunset trip as we didn't want to be out in the heat of the day and after a short explanation and drive round the car park we were off.

Our guide was Menios who was good fun and ensured we were all safe at all times, going at the pace of the least confident who he had put right behind his quad. You get several stops along the way for photos and drinks before you stop at a lovely taverna to watch the sunset before heading home.

During the trip, Menios also takes photos which he sends you via e-mail the following day

Tip - wear old/dirty clothes as there is a lot of dust and if possible wear long trousers as the engine generates a lot of heat.

Highlight of the holiday for us!

This is not a family adventure! Unless you are an experienced quad driver. The drive was through a difficult off-road terrain up the mountains on the narrow road where any wrong move can get you off the mountain. A family in our group skidded and crashed, the quad going on top of them. They escaped death by an inch! Terrifying! The instructor arrived to the crash site, instead of checking on the injured (who were all covered in blood) started inspecting if the quad was OK. The first aid kit was kindly provided by an instructor of another group who heard us screaming and came to help. Horrible! Never again! There was no procedure to evacuate the injured as well..they market it for kids from 4y.o- think twice before bringing your children- you may never see them again after this tour...
If you are an experienced quad driver- go for it. The views are indeed amazing and the narrow mountain off road paths full of adrenaline (some areas were so difficult that the instructor struggled to pass).

We really enjoyed our Wild Ride with Voyager although with just a bit more care and thought, the experience could have been much better. The ride itself was great with some fantastic views and off-road driving.
One of the downsides was that there were relatively few opportunities to grab any photos, particularly as we first started to get views over the Potami Dam. The guide led throughout and set the pace and you couldn't just pull up to take any snaps. Even with two of us on the bike it wasn't easy to take pictures as we bounced about in the dust. The guide took many photos but only with a go-pro or similar with a smudge on the lens!.This can be seen on the facebook photos and seems to have been the same on a number of the trips. Another little niggle was that we all had to follow in the same order so different people didn't get the chance to ride nearer the front.
We had a nice little stop for lunch at the side of the lake and there was plenty of water available throughout the trip.
One point to note is that the quad engines do get really hot and it is easy to burn your legs. I don't really know what can be done to avoid this without wearing jeans or similar.
