Ah, Jaipur! The Pink City is known for its grandeur, but hidden within its vibrant culture is a tranquil haven I recently discovered: the nahargarh biological park
As a solo traveler always eager for a mix of adventure and serenity, this park was a must-visit on my itinerary.

I started my journey early in the morning, the sun peeking over the horizon, painting the sky with shades of orange and pink. I hopped into an e-rickshaw, a charming and eco-friendly way to travel around Jaipur. The ride was surprisingly smooth, with a gentle breeze brushing against my face as I passed by locals starting their day.

Arriving at the park, I was greeted by the sounds of nature—a symphony of birds singing and leaves rustling. The excitement built as I embarked on a hike through the park's lush green trails. The path was well-marked, making it easy for even a directionally challenged traveler like me to navigate.

The real thrill began when I encountered the park’s wildlife. From majestic leopards to playful monkeys, every corner of the park offered a glimpse into the vibrant life thriving within. My favorite moment? Spotting a group of deer grazing peacefully, a mere few meters away. I felt an indescribable connection to the wild, as if I was part of their world, even if just for a moment.

But it wasn't just about the animals. The park’s landscape, with its rolling hills and serene lakes, offered a perfect backdrop for reflection. I found a cozy spot under a tree, took a deep breath, and simply enjoyed the moment—a rare opportunity to disconnect from the chaos of daily life.

As my adventure came to an end, I hopped back on the e-rickshaw, my heart full and spirit rejuvenated. Nahargarh Biological Park isn’t just a place to see wildlife; it's a sanctuary for the soul. For any solo traveler seeking a blend of adventure, nature, and peace, this is a journey worth taking.

Nahargarh Biological Park is like a mini jungle adventure in Jaipur. Wander through enclosures feeling like you're on safari, you can take the walking trails or take a battery-operated car for a chill cruise or even take a boat ride for a different perspective.

The park's nestled in the Aravalli Hills, so the air is fresh, the views are stunning, and you might even forget you're in the city! The staff are friendly and passionate, ready to answer your questions and share their love for the animals. The animals are also well-cared for, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly.

This place is a bit over-hyped.
Park our outside for Rs 30 only or else you need to pay Rs 300 to take your car another 800 meters only.
Cleanliness is there but this place isn't there for those who have visited quality Zoos in various parts of the country.
For small kids it is a must visit and comparatively this place is much more clean and easy to traverse.
Ticket costs Rs 70+2 for Adults
and for students it is for Rs 20+ 2 so ,do carry your student I-Card with you, if you are a student.

We took an electric car inside the zoo which made the visit with our 5 year old girl easier. But the animals are in poor condition. Few shadows, lots of heat. Some animals are very stressed because they are in such small spaces. We thought we were going to see a safari with free range animals, it was a disappointment.

Nahargarh Zoological Park spread over 80 hectares is the new Jewel added to the Rajasthan’s tourism belt. It is located inside the Nahargarh Biological Park on the Jaipur-Delhi highway around 21 kms from the walled city.
The best part of the park is that you can watch the animals at ease in big open enclosures with near natural habitat which is not generally seen with many zoos in India. The designing of the enclosures is remarkable providing enrichments and activity areas for all animals. The signages and directions provide ample information and education to visitors for a hassle free tour of the zoo.
With comfortable walking speed you can complete the round in 70minutes. (Zoo Gate to Gate). The zoological parks location adds it to a must visit place. The Zoological park is house to the Asian lion, Bengal Tiger, Leopard, Indian Wolf, Striped Hyena, Jackals, Civet Cat, Wild Boar, Crocodiles, Indian Gharial, Himalayan Black Bear, Sloth Bear etc.
The park is open from 8.30AM – 5.30PM(15th March-14th October) and 9.00AM-5.00PM(15th Oct – 14th March) Best time to visit it is at mornings at 9.00AM or 3.30-4.00PM for better animal sightings. For children below 3 years pram or trolley is recommended. Hats, sun glasses and water bottle are recommended.

This park is situated at Jaipur Delhi highway ,near about 17 kilometers from Jaipur railway station. This park was inaugurated by chief minister of Rajasthan on 4th June and i visit this park on 12 June but in just 8 days there is no drinking water in cooler ,no water in washrooms even washrooms are dirty and smelly ,only local crowds is visiting this park , Staff of this park is untrained and no guidance by any staff or they do not give any brouchure with tickets .
entry tickets for Indians is INR 50 and for foreigner tourist is INR 300 and car parking inside the park is INR 200
This park can attract more tourist and visitors if the management appoint well trained and capable staff
This park also includes Ram Sagar dam which was build by ruler of Jaipur and some domes also you will see there near the park but which the road towards this dam is not good its bumpy.
In future is can be a great park

NO security 4 safety. People in the bio park call themselves d security people, at 11:am tried to harm us by gathering around our vehicle for no reason and troubling us in all manners,
Wen we asked them for thier id cards they went mad but self confused by the way we interrogated them. However by our intelligence and gods wish we safely escaped the situation. It has been a very horrifying moment. We later complaint to the ticket counter and the matter came up as they were some wrong people as there r no such people in the park frm the bio park security.

Jaipur has many place to visit but limited place for outing (for both Jaipur resident and outsiders). This place is located approx 15 KM from Ajmeri Gate (center of jaipur). If you are local resident then its good place to visit but if you are coming from outside you can think twice as you have many other place to visit in Jaipur.

I would like to give 9 out of 10 rank to visit for local resident and 5 out of 10 for outsiders.

About this Place -

1. Time to visit - 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM but best time to visit is in the early morning or late evening, avoid afternoon.
2. You and kids will love to see white lion, tiger and other rare seen animals.
3. You would love to see this place as it is covered with mountains.
4. Charges - 50 Rupees for Indian, 20 rupees for kids or student, kids are free up to 4 years of age. Car Parking outside - 30 Rupees, Car Parking nearby zoo boundary - 300 Rupees.
5. Distance : Outside car Parking to zoo boundary - approx 1 km.

I went there with my car. From highway ticket counter is 1 km around and from ticket counter the entrance of park is 1.5 km. If you wanted to drive till entrance than you have to pay 300 Rs for car/ jeep. Walk from entrance I personally don't suggest, otherwise children can be tired before reaching there. In park it will take 1 hour around ( One km walk on the path ). Eatables are not allowed in the park, but you can carry your water bottles. It is situated in the middle of mountains and in month of end June till Jan the surrounding is very green. You can see white tiger also there. Forest dep. is planning to start elephant ride near entrance area.( it looks like this because of barricades. But it is purely my assumption only.)
Beautiful drive after entrance of park till ticket counter. It is open till 5 o clock in the evening. My comment to visit - Very good work by forest department and It can be a good alternative, if you are staying more than one day in Jaipur )
Humble request - Pls respect nature and her habitats. Hindi mai ek baat juror likunga ki , Kripya Gandagi mat phailay aur koi aur bhi Asia kar raha Ho to ussay bhi aisa naa karnay dey.

*** it is 6 to 7 km away from Amer / Amber Fort towards Delhi.
