Plön Castle towers above Lake Plön and its dimensions and white color cannot be overlooked. It is unimaginable that the state of Schleswig-Holstein had no resources to renovate this historically important castle. All the nicer that it has a private use.
Around the castle is a small green area with a view of the lake, from which you then go back down towards the Prinzenhaus. Nice walk through an idyllic little town.

If you are in plon go for a walk to the castle. Worthwhile and relaxing. You can altso eat just in front of the castle with a great view.

The castle was not large, but of good size with lots of art works. The tour book given with the tour is an outstanding document.
