Went here with a Meetup group for a bit of beach fun and snorkeling.

The views here are incredible. Just the vast ocean and the cliff decorate the lovely port.

Snorkeling was fun. The area is a bit crowded because everyone is trying to snorkel or kayak. There wasn't very many fish or anything to see, but there were tons of starfish and baby crabs.

The beach itself is nice and plain, and crowded with tourists and locals alike. The restaurants are lined up and down the beach but be wary that you may not be able to use a credit card. The town is small and local so I'm sure at some restaurants you can use a credit card but take cash for sure.

I can see now why they call this beautiful area the Naples of South Korea! The water reminded me of her vacation in the Caribbean and it is so beautiful and peaceful to visit this area. At about 3 hour drive from Seoul it was a wonderful day trip down the coast!

I and My friends visited was East coast of Korea the name is Jangho beach. It was quite different from Nice beach of France. Jangho is less developed than Nice and color of sea is darker. The feeling of beach is like Jangho is father, Nice is mother.
I heard that Korean people call this beach like Naples of Korea. But I don't think so. This is small but so beautiful I think.

You can’t get anywhere near the water unless you wear a life jacket! And even if you do you can only swim in little roped off sections.

I went on a quieter day and there were still lots of people with big obnoxious blowup things. The nice scenery is completely ruined by all the shops and controlling safety precautions.

My advice: If you want to actually swim don’t go to any well known beaches; lest you be accosted by lifeguards for daring to go up to your knees.

Jongho Port was amazing-only a small village of 70 families, it's the perfect glimpse of small-town Korean fishing life. The water was SO clear and clean, and there's lots of places for snorkeling. I think you can go scuba diving too, but since we went sort've off-season it wasn't available. You can also rent translucent kayaks by the hour and the seafood is fresh and tasty! Everything is a hotel/motel. Just go up to the owners of the restaurant (on the first floor) and ask them to show you the rooms (they'll have them on the upper levels). Ours was 50,000 KRW-but! there was no real bed.

Jangho port is famous for the transparent sea in Korea, and we can enjoy canoe and snorkeling, because most of seas in Korea are not transparent and it is one of unique places in Korea.

As I got up early in the morning, I could watch sunrising and take some photos of stunning sunrising scenes. After breakfast, we bought a ticket for canoe and enjoyed canoe together. And then we wore snorkeling equipment and enjoy snorkeling in the transparent sea.

I think you should note that the port is small and so you had better visit the season when many people visit there. I think summer is a hot season.

It is a beautiful place at the east coast of South Korea. You will amaze with all those rocks around the coastline. One of the must see in South Korea.

The landscape, trees and rocks are absolutely gorgeous especially if you visit the place on a bright sunny day. The water is so blue and lovely. I visited the place in summer and it was loaded with people doing all sort of water sports.. not a bad thing for tourists, but I think the landscape can be better enjoyed with serenity and peacefulness less the noise and busy water sports... that is just my opinion.

It's a pretty cool place to relax and walk. It was a nice, beautiful day out.

However, the appeal faded and we were left just wondering around until we found a crab restaurant. The level of rudeness did not help, neither did the constant stares and laughing.

As for the food, the crab was overcooked. And the bokkeumbap was very lack-luster.
