I'm not sure what made them repaint the building to resemble a large cake, but it makes it easy to find. Centered in a county with a large number of caves, this is a cave neophyte's introduction to the underground. They run a small planetarium style theatre on the top floor which shows a korean cave movie every hour or so, but it seems to cut out in the middle which was strange. The lower three floors have small areas dedicated to cave history, representations in popular media, cave vandalism, biology, structure and other aspects. Nothing too detailed. The center of the building is actually hollow and has a three story cave room carved into the walls. You can see the whole place in about 30 minutes, including 10 minutes of video, and for 3000 won is a good way to start the day if you plan to go to Hwansangul or Daegongul caves later in the day. Some of the exhibits are falling apart (the science area) but it's not terrible at all.
