Was at the cafe while my family went up. While the cab brought us up as far as he could, it was a nightmare for me to get back down the extremely steep slope. Was grateful when a passerby help my brother to get me down.

I'm not sure why this is not as known to tourists. I highly recommend visit to this temple. Nestled on a cliff side this temple is serene and beautiful. There is a bit of walk to reach the temple. On the way, there are many many vendors selling Gat Kimchi which this island is famous for. All the Kimchi business... More

This temple far from city center but its definitely worth a visit. I recently visited Yeosu and this temple was on my list of places to go. Be prepare to walk up hill and stairs for about 15 mins so wear comfortable shoes. The scenery is beautiful so don't miss out on this temple.

This has got to be one of the top 5 temples in Korea. It's location makes it so beautiful. The way the temple is built into the rock side of the mountain makes it spectacular. From the parking lot you can either walk up the steps on take the easier path to the right. Both trails will lead up to... More

A place with serene natural beauty.. we visited this place during Lunar new year and hence was crowded.. Parking available downhill and since it was lunar new year, we had difficulties finding parking.. still was able to find a parking space after some 20 min waiting. .. Be prepared to walk up the mountain to reach the shrine.. Once up,... More

This temple is located at a hilltop. You can drive up to the entrance and walk up the stairway, a little long though. This temple is small but very beautiful. You can look down over the South Sea from there. Lots of people gather to shoot sunrises here.

Gorgeous temple half way up a mountain, overlooking the sea. Accessible from Yeosu via the 111 or 113 bus lines.

I have been to many temples in Korea and this is hands down the most beautiful one. Sweeping ocean views allow it to be a peaceful setting.
