Me and my Girlfriend booked with Homer after he promised a great tour around the coasts and shallow waters for all to swim in. This was perfect for us as my girlfriend isn’t a great swimmer. This was all delivered to the letter.

Homer is such a likeable gentleman who was so greeting and smiley throughout us signing up to the second we left the boat after the boat trip.

The boat is intimate enough that you’re not just one of many on the boat but was spacious enough to adhere to social distancing.

I couldn’t recommend this trip anymore especially for 9am-3pm for €20

Have just come off the trip a couple of hours ago and wow, what a wonderful experience. Came as a group of 6 and were keen to do a boat trip. We were wondering around the beach front when we bumped into a kind gentleman called Thassos. He went through the options in great detail and was very very friendly throughout. He explained that his wife is from Liverpool and explained the dynamic of the family business. After listening to us he recommended the coastal trip which would be best for us (not to choppy and not a long travel time) & also that his father runs that trip and with that we booked. From arrival to end Captain Homer (The man himself) was an absolute gentleman. Offered us free drinks throughout (beers available for 1€ each) and took time to chat to the others on the boat (about 12-14 in total). This was all whilst keeping the boat steady and calm. For 20€ PP this is certainly worth it and truely was a beautiful experience!

We went from 09:25 - 14:45 at the price of €30 per person and it was a relaxed atmosphere all around. There were 5 different groups on board for the trip. After embarking, the boat crossed to another dock on the other side of the river where the captain helped a disabled user to board.

We went to "Fish taverna Leonidas" &
"Panorama Taverna" on our stops to a fishing village and gardens respectively.
After the fishing village we stopped off for some swimming in shallow waters which anyone can cope with as you float well there.

The gardens had a good variety of thriving plants and scattered hammocks to encourage the serene and tranquil vibes of the area. There was amazing home made ice-cream (I thought the chocolate one tasted like ferrero rocher!) with brilliant sea views and another chance to swim if you wanted.

The captain encouraged us to spend a little in the local businesses which was our pleasure, you really see how the tourism here drives the economy with this example.

Throughout the trip the Captain's wife was going around the ship serving drinks and talking to everyone ensuring all needs were met and being warm and friendly. She also made a sandwich and nibble platter and poured some home made wine for those who wanted. (Very strong and fruity, really nice!)

Went on the captain homers special boat trip . Nice little boat , very happy captain yannis looked after us . Swam in lovely clear blue sea.
Wasn’t impressed with the stop where the gardens were it was mozzie nightmare.
The wine on board wasn’t the nicest, but we still had a nice day out on the boat considering the Covid conditions.
Liked the boat and the staff who seemed to care about there customers .as we wanted to do the Corfu town evening trip , and were told to come at 4pm as they were not sure if 4 people who had booked but didn’t leave a deposit We’re coming, but some did turn up and the captain explained that only a certain amount of passengers were allowed on the boat and if they had more they would get fined and could lose their license, so very impressed as other companies would have just let you onboard regardless of the rules.

What a brilliant day. Homer's odyssey!! We were recommended to go on Captain Homers South Coast trip by a fellow hotel stayer.
We had a wonderful time. Owned and run by a husband and wife, they make you feel very welcome on the boat. Gail, the captains wife, came to Corfu on holiday many years ago and fell in love and stayed on the island. She had made lunch and the captain provided wine and soft drinks and all included in the price of €30 .
We stopped at a fishing village for a coffee, then swam over the sandbanks in shallow water and finished off the day at a little restaurant ( more coffee frappe) with a lovely garden overlooking the sea.
I Would as you may guess recommend this trip . A fantastic 3/4 day trip and total value for money.

Reviewing the 'half day' Homers Boat trip, departing 9am (sharp!) & we disembarked at 14.30, dropped directly to the Messonghi Hotel side of the river. A wonderful way to spend the day, meandering along the south coast. First stop is a small fishing village, just time for a nosey & a coffee. Then on to Sandbanks, which is warm, shallow & inviting, great for all ages. We then stopped at the Botanical Gardens for a drink & a snack for 45 minutes only, such a serene setting, we are looking into how to get there to spend a whole day. Another slow chug back to Messonghi River where we asked the true Captain, Gale, to let us off at the hotel side & she willing obliged. Gale made some wonderful taramasalata, her speciality, in much demand by the family..it was super delicious & I'm ashamed to say, I ate 5 pieces, maybe 6, of French stick, slathered with her lovely creation. Please do seek this lovely couple out & ask Gale how she & Yani met, it's a real life holiday romance story & he genuinly is her Tom Conte. The reason the boat cannot wait for latecomers too long, is their time slots at the various stops..lateness means overcrowding at the designated stops, which would make it less enjoyable for the patrons who have made the effort to get there in time & could possibly result in having to miss a stop, the Gardens only has a small.pier, restricting the amount of boats able to dock at any one time, this would have a knock on effect for other crews. And in fact, they did wait for a missing couple this morning, but due to it being.a little out of season, had more option to do so on this occasion. You are given clear written instruction upon booking. Great trip, very relaxed atmosphere on board & only E1 for a can of beer, water & village wine supplies free of charge. Thank you Gale & Yani for a wonderful day.

This was a wonderful trip. Plenty of swimming as well as time to look at the beautiful surroundings from the boat. We got to swim in a blue lagoon, visit a Greek village, visit caves and swim at the sand bar. It was great value for money. €30 per adult for a full day 9.30 to 5.30.
I made enquiries online before coming and all my emails were replied to promptly. Thanks for all your help. Just sorry I will miss the Durell House trip.

My husband and I went on the morning trip (9.15am to 1:45pm) trip with Captain Homer. What a great time we had. We we really lucky to have the rear of the boat to ourselves. Captain Homer was so friendly and funny; chatting and singing away. We visited the shallow waters and had a swim, we then went to the Botanical Garden which was absolutely beautiful - like a jungle! If you go make sure you explore the botanical garden - the boat stops for an hour so plenty of time to eat and then explore. We also swam in the beautiful clear water there and we saw swordfish!
The wine was plentiful and also beers were available to buy on the boat for €1. The cost of the trip was brilliant too. We really enjoyed the trip and would definitely recommend it as a great way to spend half a day.

Brilliant full day out for 25€pp. Crew were friendly & good fun. Sadly still a few selfish muppets that wouldn't wear masks whilst in port or on arrival as requested. They provide soft drinks, beers & snacks at reasonable price. We took a packed lunch and used some of cake & bread to attract fish in Blue Lagoon which was highlight of the day, take a snorkel! Port of Syvota/Sivota on Greek mainland was lovely for lunch. Botanic garden was alright but only 45 mins so not worth it really. This was our big day out for a mixed group of ages & all agreed was fantastic value. Thank you Dassos 👍🇬🇷🐟🐠

From the second we boarded to the moment we left both Mr and Mrs Homer worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was fed watered (or wined) happy entertained and having fun.

It was a real dream trip and having been on many boat trips its was the best by far and the most value for money I have ever experienced.

The 5 children between 3 and 21 all said it was the highlight of their holiday.
