Best thing to do in St Martin - Don't miss out!

I spent 2 weeks in St Martin before New Year's eve and was thrilled to find out that I could surf there. I would recommend SXM Surf Club to anyone (experienced surfers or beginners). Jean-Seb and his family are just awesome and if you are looking to learn to surf you will learn more with them than anywhere else I've seen. He will actually get you to catch some real unbroken waves unlike most places where you start riding the white water. The spot is also really cool! Make sure to go check it out if you're on the island!

Great group surf experience with Seb

Great group surf experience out on the unique reef break at Gallion Beach. Seb took out a group of about 9 on his boat, provided boards and rash guard tops, and guided each person out onto their own waves. The 3 teens we took caught multiple waves, and we were able to hang out on the anchored boat to watch and take videos. Seb was knowledge about the surf and conditions. We had an excellent time, and went back for seconds.

A true gem on the island

Honestly, the best coaching for beginners and up! The surf spot is a gem. Jean Seb will teach you how to really surf. There's no foamy bumpy waves to ride here. Just clean waves for the best experience. For any one who is thinking about trying to surf or just catch some nice waves, this is THE PLACE TO BE!

Must do in Orient Bay!

An absolute must to do! Seb is a great instructor and four of us had a great time a rode waves in 15 minutes. The break is the best I have ever ridden. One does not swim through the waves, but around the break, which makes it's a safe spot for beginners and means that one will be riding non-stop. The swell gives a long ride and the place is not crowded. Finally, deeper in the break, the more advanced experience one can get. So go! You will learn from the best! Kat

Like « endless summer » So magic

Thanks to Jean Seb I finally felt like a real surfer.
I had never known a teacher like him before.
And yet, I practiced a dozen of them.
His pedagogical principle is to give you as quickly as possible real sensations of gliding.
Thanks to him, you take all the waves and you master your board much faster.
This is clearly my favourite spot in the world.

Put it in your list for a family fun times

Kids had a great time learning to surf. They picked it up after 3-4 waves. Seb and his family are great and very responsive. There is a nice channel that allows you to paddle back to get the next wave which help beginners not get nailed in the face by a wave while paddling back! 100% recommended.
Bring water and snacks as the club is purely surfing related.

Best Surfing on the island

Beautiful place to surf! Jean-Seb is a masterful coach and instructor. Best for anyone from beginner to expert, young children to old timers. A MUST try if on Saint Martin. If you have never surfed before, no worries you will be surfing within 20-30 minutes with the amazing coaching they provide!

Great experience on an amazing spot!

Whether you want to windsurf, surf or sup, Saint-Martin Surf Club has it all, right on splendid Galion beach. The spot is amazing and caters for all levels. You can rent equipment and take lessons. Lessons in both windsurfing and surfing are great, we tried both ... with Jean Seb and Helene it's all about positive energy, pedagogy and fun... they'll do everything for you to learn, progress and enjoy. Even fist-timers get up on waves with them!

Such great moments for our 18-year-old daughter, fan of surfing, Jean Sebastien gave her all of his experience and passion to make progress. Be sure that Sara shall come back, as soon as possible !!!! Galion Beach, is one of the most beautiful and natural Caribbean beaches we have ever seen! Thanks so much and all the best to you!!!

Surf session DONT GO HERE

Emailed with the owner several times agreeing on Date and time for board rentals and boat service, showed up to his shop, no one was there, no one answered emails calls, there were 4 of us waiting for an hour, 2 separate groups, no one showed up, very disappointing. Save yourself and book with Frank at SXM, he was taking people surfing while we sat around all morning, poor service, waste of a day
