People have been recommending this club for a while on the island and now I understand why! The club is great and well organized -I really liked the vibe there. Jean-Seb is both patient and motivating, and it pays off: during our class, we all managed to catch some waves even though we were all first timers. The Gallion spot is interesting both for beginners and experienced surfers. This surf club definitively does justice to St Martin's motto, "the friendly island". I recommend it 100%

Kids had a great time learning to surf. They picked it up after 3-4 waves. Seb and his family are great and very responsive. There is a nice channel that allows you to paddle back to get the next wave which help beginners not get nailed in the face by a wave while paddling back! 100% recommended. Bring water and snacks as the club is purely surfing related.

I had a great time starting surfing again with Jean-Seb after not doing it for months. He knew what board to give me, what conditions I needed and he chose the waves for me! I just had to focus on the technique which allowed me to improve quickly! I recommend the spot and JeanSeb’s coaching !!

I windsurfed here early this year in 2021. The wind was often strong, especially throughout the month of February where I windsurfed nearly on a day-to-day basis on small rental board (96L), mostly using sails from 4.7 to 5.6 m2 (I weight 70 kg). The spot is great: it is a relatively closed bay with swell partially breaking on a reef at its entrance. It’s really beautiful to navigate on a sunny day going up an down the swell near the whitewash under the break. The water is clear and you can actually spot turtles diving.. or even ram the board into them if you are not careful! The beach and water aren't crowded: might be a natural reserve of sorts actually (?) Jean-Seb and Helene provide useful advice about gear/conditions. I found it’s actually best to call/text them to check for conditions and meetup time… Highly recommended! Joining wind-magazine-grade photo Jean-Seb took during one of my sessions!
