Had a lovely walk from one end to the other. It is really clean and was being enjoyed with lots of families. I like the fact that dogs are only allowed on at certain times. Makes it cleaner and safer.

Great beach when the weather is good for a family day out. Plenty of cafes etc for eating and drinking and purchase of buckets and spades etc. Watch out for dog restrictions in holiday season!

Great that the buildings works are all finished. Parking was busy but it's such a great expanse of beach it certainly didn't feel busy. Great that we could take the dog but also respect the no dogs area. A lovely seaside and glad it's now...More

Sandsend is the last bit of Whitby! Very quiet and clean, away from the madding crowds. Plenty of free parking.

The beach is very clean with lifeguards in the summer. There is a dog exclusion zone and a dog walking area making it a safe place for young kids to play. There are plenty of places to eat and drink for any budget.

Such a great place for young children. Great places to paddle....sand....and stones to collect. Not far to two great beachside cafes for coffee and ice creams. What not to enjoy?

Been visiting sandsend since being a child and recently returned with family after living down south for a period of time, such a well looked after beach with lovely cafes close by to take in the view! Highly recommend for a beach walk!

Spectacular views along the walk to this beach from Whitby. It is well worth the walk as the beach is really very nice as is the surrounding area. Just a village location but so tranquil!

We went down onto the beach via the slipway & it wasn`t until we climbed back up onto the prom that we saw the first sign regarding dogs on the beach. There were one or two other dogs already there & very few people, so it... More

Hi, the only wheel chair access to the beach are 2 slipways, one on he Whitby side of the beck and the other over the bridge opposite the Hart Inn, there is a further spliway next to the car park at the bottom of Lythe bank
