Xavi, the owner is very friendly, the horses are very well treated and the ride with Roco was very nice.

Spent an enjoyable morning trekking with Hipica Peufort the other day with my family. I have only ridden horses half a dozen times in my fifty odd years, so there were a fair amount of nerves - and not only mine! However, once kitted out and mounted, together with my wife and teenage children, we had an enjoyable - if painful - three hours or so, clambering up the beautiful mountainside around Sort. We were concerned about the midday heat but actually we were in and out of the shade most of the time so needn't have worried. At about the halfway point our guide took our phones and cameras and got a few nice photos of each of our family groups. Including our family of four, I think there were only 8 or 9 of us in total so a nice compact group. Since the horses pretty much steer themselves none of us needed much hands-on support, though a young boy who was riding for possibly the first time, had his small pony led by the guide for the whole trip. It is not an inexpensive activity but as the chap we booked with told us, with rafting and kayaking you don't have to feed them - the horses are a constant expense. Mind you, as we all experienced, every one of our horses ate probably more than half a tree each during the 2.5 hour trip, so perhaps the food they give the horsesback at the stables is not that plentiful?! Anyway, a great trip and the horses are, I am sure, all well-looked after.
