Even though we came on a hot summer day (probably better in Spring or up to June) there’s plenty to offer here. The Castle is being renovated so beware but there’s a picnic spot to take your own food, there are quite a lot of wonderful looking plants and, especially, cactuses. The views of the sea and Calella de Palafrugell are also very amazing. The whole route is marked with arrows but we only missed the Coronel garden somehow.…

Jardí Botànic de Cap Roig is a botanical garden located in the coast of Costa Brava, close to Calella de Palafrugell, one of the most beautiful towns in the region, in Girona province, in the North of Catalonia. I came here in february-2020, so in winter period. In this period, some places in the garden are on works like the main castle or some gardens. However, the price of the entrance was 10€, too much for seeing a part of the visit. Of course the views of the coast and the rocky islets off it added to its charm. A well spent afternoon.…

We walked from Llafranc to these beautiful gardens. The walk took us an hour and a half. Entrance fee is €10 with concessions half price. The gardens slope downwards and are really beautiful. They have a picnic area. There is nowhere to purchase food here so bring a picnic. The views over the sea are spectacular. We spent about an hour and a half here. Really lovely.…
