There are few trails leading to Polonina Caryńska. We did it with the shortest one, from Przełęcz Wyżniańska. It took almost an hour up. The trail is in average condition but with no difficulties, available for everybody like the great views from the top. This is one of the best view we have seen during this trip. Additionally roars of deers heard from both sites makes great ambience.

Second massif in Bieszczady National Park called Połonina, slightly smaller in size than Wetlińska, but higher, with highest of four peaks reaching 1297 m. Name comes from non-existant village of Caryńskie on its northern slopes. Połonina means forestless mountain ridge. Very steep north and south slopes, slightly milder east/west. Within national park boundaries from its establishement in 1973 - top of the massif plus small forest cordon around it; first expansion of Park boundaries in 1989 saw the whole mountain included in this highest form of nature protection in Poland. Red hiking trail follows the lenght of the Połonina, while green one goes accross it. Definitelly a place to climb/visit during a stay in this part of world.
