There is family history in growing the grapes in Korcula and mastering their winemaking. Our server, who is part of the family, poured 3 wines - all were wonderful. This little winery is a must when you are on Korcula Island. It is easy to get to from Old Town. Grab a water taxi to Lumbarda and walk up the hill. Don't forget to buy some wine to take with you.Visited October 2023Traveled soloWritten November 5, 2023
- Abigail D9 contributionsGreat views and lovely ownerOne of my favorite wineries in Lumbarda - incredible views, do not miss this spot! Mira the owner was amazing and all staff was attentive. Wines were delicious as were the snacks, try the Grk which is what the area is known for. Great terrace to sit on and very picturesque, would be an amazing sunset spot as well. We stopped by a close by sandy beach after, walking distance and great for swimming.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 11, 2024
- Clare C2 contributionsSpecial experienceHad a wonderful visit to this winery. Beautiful setting on the terrace and amazing view. The staff were very friendly and provided great service. The wines were very good especially the red and a very nice platter of cheese, bread and nibbles to accompany it. It was a special experience as part of our 40th wedding anniversary trip to Croatia.Visited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 11, 2024

It provides excelent service, the girls who are working in the winery are very kind, owner as well. The wines are of high quality and all are excellent, especially GRK. - Tommie E10 contributionsPopic Winery Lumbarda Island of Korcula, Croatia.Coming from the Winelands living in Franschhoek, Western Cape, South Arica. It was with great excitement that we went to Popic Winery Lumbarda. The wine was excellent, and I really enjoyed the GRK wine. The service and the information about the wines was good and we spend a lovely time there. The views from the terrace were stunning. I can really recommend this winery for wine tasting. - sandraSt. John's, Canada12 contributionsTry the Grk!We had an absolutely phenomenal visit at Popic Winery! All four of the wines were delicious: Rose, Posip, Plavac Mali and the Grk. My partner and I only drink red wine, so we were amazed and pleasantly surprised that we loved the Grk! We have returned to Canada looking for something as good and wishing we could buy it here. This is a family run vineyard and the owners and the staff were so friendly and warm. Service was fabulous and the terrace and views were out of this world beautiful. We spent four weeks in Croatia and the three days we spent in Lombardo were our favourite and Popic Winery played a big part in that. Thank you so much and we can’t wait to return!Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 16, 2024
- Simon KMelbourne, Australia9 contributionsPerfect winery experienceI was so keen to try the mythical Grk wine - and it paid off in spades. The greeting and hospitality we received here is possibly the best we've every had in a winery. The family are in a great position here, their wines are superb, and their staff competent at a very high level. We felt deliriously happy sitting on their balcony - can recommend to anyone.Visited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 30, 2024
- S, P & TWorcester, United Kingdom30 contributionsTotal blissWow, wow, wow! What a wonderful place to visit! Breathtaking view, delicious wine, such a tranquil setting, fabulous food. This place is a must! So reasonably priced, wonderful service from knowledgeable staff. We had our young daughter with us (age 7) who was made to feel very welcome and happily tucked into the food platter whilst we tasted some of the most lovely wines imaginable. We took a taxi there, but walked back to Lumbarda afterwards (around 10 mins). This was our first vineyard experience and has set the bar VERY high for any we do in the future. Do go, you'll love it!Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten September 4, 2024

We visited when we rented bikes and cycled around Lumbarda and I couldn’t recommend stopping off at Popic Winery more. The views are absolutely incredible and you can do the wine tasting of the white, red, rosé and liqueur for a very reasonable 40 kuna. The staff are friendly, the wine is great and we had a very enjoyable visit.

Visited 2 other wineries on korcula and we definitely liked the experience here the most. The wines were spectacular in all 3 (think you can’t miss on korcula with wine) but the place and especially the owners really made us feel happy and relaxed. Although it was very busy and with a big group of about 40ppl at the same time, the lady owner was very attentive and never forgot about us and took care that our glasses were never empty. Later we also meet her husband and their baby dog, the husband showed me around and explained their production and efforts. One can tell their business is done from passion and love for both wine and people.
Looking forward to enjoy the bottles we picked up here and meditate about our next trip to korcula.

Walked in here without a booking and managed to get a perfect table looking out over the beautiful countryside of Lumbarda. We ordered the wine tasting with food and were so impressed with the quality of both. The Grk was particularly good, so much so that we bought a bottle. The lady who served us was very welcoming and friendly, her English was fantastic and she gave us some information on each of the wines we tasted. Couldn't recommend more highly!

Arrive unexpectedly for a tasting, we had not booked.
The person warmly welcomes us and immediately warns that they only take cash. We will return to get the necessary at the village distribànque without worries.
Friendly wines, served with the history of wine told with passion.
For the alcohol-free, very good homemade lemonade.

Lovely winery on the slopes of Lombarda overlooking the small coastal village and Adriatic Sea. When we visited the winery offered three tasting options: three wines for 50KN, or two different wine tastings with appetizers for 90KN. We opted for the wine and appetizer which was actually a small meal of local products. Our favorite wine was a red Plavac Mail, aged in Italian/Croatian oak and in the bottle for one year. Delicious! The second favorite was the white Grk local grown and one a few female vines requiring pollination. We biked to the winery above it on a small narrow and at times steep road, but you can bike along a small road below the winery. This is winery is worth the visit and also near three other Lombarda wineries.

I was a little bit sceptical when coming here, I thought it might be too touristy and not so good. I was wrong. We chose the degustation with some snacks, for only 80 kunas per person. It included: three wines, liquor, four different types of cheese, prosciutto, olives, capers and tomatoes. The wines, the olive oil and the prosciutto were produced at the winery, the capers and the tomatoes came from the garden. Everything was SO GOOD. Specially the grk (white wine), the plavac mali (red wine) and the olive oil. The view was stunning, really bucolic. The woman gave clear and useful information about the products. After the degustation we took our bikes and in 3 minutes we were on the beach.
Don't hesitate to come here!

We chose to visit in the afternoon at around 3pm. There were a few groups finishing up their lunch but we easily got a table for two on the terrace overlooking the vineyard and the sea beyond. We ordered cheese and bread which was delicious and sampled the white, rose and red wines. The red in particular was very nice - so nice we bought a bottle before we left which is unusual for us. I would highly recommend a trip here.

The most amazing views, wines and staff who can’t do more to help you and support. The owner, Mirjana, explained the wines, how they were grown, weather conditions and history of the grapes. We cycled there (which I would suggest on an E-BIKE) and she arranged for us to be collected and driven home.
It was the most amazing vineyard - far better then any others and I would HIGHLY recommend

We had a great time and the host was lovely. We learnt about the special techniques of the Grk wine and bought some to take home. Loved the family feel of the place and their little son helping with the purchase was so sweet. Views were spectacular!
