I read some negative comments about the place but honestly we had a great time at Porto Cesareo!
It is a humble town, and has a lot to offer…walkable, with many nice and simple restaurants…good local food and some spectacular beaches
People are friendly, even if many don’t speak anything than Italian.
We were surprised by how beautiful the town is …even if it is not picturesque as many other towns in Puglia, but I think it is worth visiting

well restored look out tower from the 15th century, worth paying entrance fee to explore. There are look out towers all along the Salento coast but this is the only one that's retained all its original structure. Great views and amazing fish restaurant nearby.

Really nice coastal town with a port full of restaurants. Great panorama with small islands. When deciding back home where to stay in Apuglia for 14nights Porto Cesareo was on a short list, but gladly we decided for Otranto...

We decided to change our itinerary a bit to get away from some of the nice but crowded and traffic-filled towns in Puglia to enjoy a coastal drive for a while. I'd remembered reading about Porto Cesareo while researching our trip, so we headed there, and it turned out to be one of the nicest overnights of our trip. It was just the right size to avoid the traffic congestion we found in many of the other towns we visited, plus we found that once we parked our car at our hotel (the scenically-situated Isola Lo Scoglio hotel) we could stroll across the water on their small bridge to restaurants and markets in town. Another bonus of the town we found was the fact that most the restaurants opened at 6 pm, and we had a delicious and reasonably-priced dinner at Le Arcate. We got the feeling that the town doesn't see many English-speaking visitors compared to many of the tourist-destination towns in Puglia, and we found everyone we met to be very friendly and welcoming. It was a wonderful start to our drive around the coast.

I enjoyed visiting this sleepy village. Beautiful clear water and some very nice restaurants. Not too crowded in May. Definitely worth visiting

Between lunch at Fallis restaurant and a stroll on the promenade with coffee in one of the numerous bars in Cesareo , and the sun shining, you'll have a great afternoon.

Porto cesareo is just famous for its name and history! It has no charm at all. Just a few boats in the bay and a few restaurants noteworthy of interest.

Port Ceasreo is a love;ly seaside port to visit with a nice promenade and lovely bars, cafes, restaurants and Gelateria. It is lovely to walk along the well laid out path in front of the sea. Visit the market on Thursdays although get their early as parking is challenging on that day.

Bisogna muoversi in auto o moto.
