Now Millets farm falconry centre

Excellent first rate time. Didn't expect it to be such a good hands on experience. Luke was an enthusiast and knew everything about the birds. The farm shop was well stocked and has a brilliant buyer, the same with the garden centre. Food in the restaurant was also an excellent choice...really could not fault our time there at all. We went just before Easter so the place was quiet....good range of birds and great photo opportunity. Would go again.

Great visit
Just wanted to write a quick comment, as my husband and I took our 2 boys aged 9 & 7 yesterday. It was a great experience, we saw a range of the falcons, owls, kites and were also there for the first flight of the 4 & 1/2 month old bald eagle. A great day on a great site! Thank you to Luke & james for the informative talks during the displays!

Great Visit
May 2014 • Friends
Large collection of birds with flying displays, run by friendly knowlageble staff, I went on a photo day with friends and it was one of the best day's out we have enjoyed for a while, plant of opportunity to get close and personal with Birds of Prey you would only normally see as a flash in the sky, I would recommend this to anyone interested in wildlife and wildlife photography.

Amazing experience!

I've come across an offer for a two-hour falconry experience at Fallowfields Falconry on Livingsocial. I've been thinking about getting an introduction to falconry for a long time, but as I’ve had mixed experiences with deals from discount sites I did hesitate a bit. All the positive reviews on Tripadvisor reassured me and my boyfriend agreed to try as well.

I can say that we were not at all disappointed. The owners are really passionate about the birds; they provide a myriad of fascinating facts so you never get bored. Complementary cookies and tea are always a nice touch. We also got very lucky with the weather and have spent a marvellous day at Fallowfields flying birds and learning more about them. A note for people with children: if you’re worried that this experience might be scary, there was an eight year old in the group and he did really enjoy flying birds as well.

A terrific experience
Jun 2013 • Family
I spent a thoroughly enjoyable Sunday at the Falconry. I indulged in the 'day long' falconry experience where it is more than just walking around looking at this beautiful collection of birds of prey, I felt part of it. Handling and 'flying' the birds was a great thrill and a truly amazing time was had.
I didn't give a 5 rating, purely because this latest endeavour of James & Sharon, aided by Eddie, is still very fresh out of the blocks, having only opened a few weeks ago.
I do however think that what few wrinkles there are present, will be ironed out very quickly and a 5 star rating would be a given. They do a great job.

Archery at Fallowfields
May 2013 • Couples
We had an excellent afternoon with Neil practising archery at Fallowfields. It is alongside the falconry but is a separate venue in itself and booked separately. we had a Groupon voucher which made it fantastic value for money, Neil has lots of patience to get everyone hitting the target and has plenty of history of archery to throw in, to make the event more enjoyable. Trying to pull back the English longbow is a struggle, but fun trying. The bows used for the day are modern composite bows and easy to use, but difficult to get consistent, but that's the fun of it! This is an outside event, so rain does delay proceedings, we were lucky to only have a 5 minute break for the rain to pass. The location could do with a sign, as its behind the hotel, but the reception at the hotel were happy to direct and allow use of the toilets! Would go again as it gets addictive.

Fantastic birthday present!
Feb 2013 • Solo
I had been given this as a birthday present and finally booking this event at Fallow fields I couldn't wait to take part!

I had such a fun day, first meeting the 2 CUTE dogs of the owners, then my favorite archery for a couple of hours, lunch was funny as we where saw next too dead chicks (birds food). Meeting all the birds and getting to fly and hold them was amazing. I had such a good day and defiantly think it was worth the money!!

Advise anyone too do it!!

Really enjoyed the display it was excellent. We were lucky that we had one of the few days where it was really sunny not sure what it would be like on a cold damp day.

Raptor Heaven!
Apr 2013 • Couples
Had been given a groupon voucher for the 2 hour falconry experience as a Christmas present. Unable to fit in time to use it until this week and so very glad I did before it expired as the experience was truly memorable. Staff friendly, providing hot drinks and biccies which were very welcome on a freezingly cold windy day. The young falconer, Ross I think, made the afternoon interesting with his knowledge and amusing(terrible jokes - "teat owl!" - but had to laugh) and the birds were awesome. He kept us all involved in handling them and his respect for and devotion to them is evident and obviously shows itself in how the birds responded to him and performed even in a howling cold wind. Unfortunately my camera battery died on me so could not take many photos so have a very good reason to make a further visit. well worth a visit.

Fallowfield falconry and archery day
We have recently been to Fallowfield Falconry for a day or archery and falconry. When we arrived we found we were part of a group of 20 people and my heart dropped, but we were was split into two groups with one doing archery first and the other doing falconry. This actually worked really well. Ross really knew his stuff and passed on a lot of information and the kids really took it all in. The bird were amazing and it was fantastic to see them up close. After lunch we moved over to archery, we were split in two people per target and give instructions as we went along. Again this was great fun with the kids competing to see who could score the most, needless to say I lost!
I would really like to thank everyone for a great day out, we will definately be returning.
