This was my first time to a bodega and it was very interesting. Cesar was our guide and he was able to explain the process of how they make the wine so everyone could understand. They use the old process to make there wine. Had a fun time with my friends and I would definitely repeat.

Because this is a small bodega and not part of any chain it has kept its traditional methods for making the wine and it is the only bodega still making wine in Laguardia within the town. They use the underground tunnels to store the wines and you can only acquire their wines from here. We found the guide very enthusiastic... More

The history of this winery is pretty cool. You'll learn a lot about the city as we'll and some pretty neat facts. Small winery with small production all done in a very small space. By hand and with their feet. Literally. Seeing how they made wine and going down into the cellars was pretty neat I must say as we... More

We did a wine tour at the Bodega Fabulista. The cellars are very nice and you have a great atmosphere. We couldn't understand a lot though, as the English of the guide was not very good. It also felt a bit more touristy then the other wine tours we did in Laguardia.

Of all the wine tours and tastings we did in a great week in Rioja this was the most passionate and eccentric tour of all. We just turned up on the off chance there was an English tour available. They were very helpful and we returned an hour later. It was the owner who did the tour and you couldn't... More

This was the first of many winery tours we took while visiting Laguardia. Our tour guide was just a delight. She was very enthusiastic and quite knowledgeable about the entire process. Sadly I have forgotten her name. I'm guessing all the guides are good there. The trip down in to the caves was very unique. I really enjoyed the bit... More

We had an English tour of this historic winery in La Guardia. The tour was great and even accommodated our two young daughters with grape juice during the tasting portion of the tour! The guide also recommended a very family friendly restaurant afterward, which was a gorgeous venue.

I feel close to giving 4 stars because of the information provided, but many things were disappointing. I have visited another small cellar in La Guardia and 3 or 4 bigger ones in the region and they are all different and enriching, in any case. First I will start by the price: there are 2 options, one with some cheese... More

We arrived after the tour had started but were allowed to join. It lasted around an hour and a half and was fairly cheap. The guide's English wasn't great, making it difficult to understand some of the jokes, but the tour was still very fun and interesting. In the cellar, 3 samples were given to taste (a white and 2... After having visited the Bodega del Marqués de Riscal, we came to this the Bodega El Fabulista without any high expectations, and I can assure you that it is MUCH better than the Marqués de Riscal visit (although the premises of the other Bodega are impressive and certainly worth a visit). The tour guide was very nice, he explained stuff... More
