I've been on three kayak trips with Ron down different sections of the Shuswap River, and he provided a very safe experience as well as providing lots of tips and advice from his own vast river running experience. Equipment is excellent and the lunch and refreshments were first class. The most recent trip built on the past ones and the group went through exciting white water for the highlight of our Summer.

Taking a rest from the hikes I decided to surprise my partner with a day at Big Bear ATV Canoe and Kayak. ATV was the game that day as the recent flooding made the other options a bit too unpredictable. The couple running the business are FABULOUS. They made us feel like family and took us on a challenging adventure. We did the 4-5 hour trip wich included lunch (a hand made sandwich, granola bar, water or fruit juice) which we ate atop a mountain with a breathtaking view of the valley. From there we sat and watched hang gliders and kite/parachute flyers take running leaps off the mountains edge and soar. Promoting more of Lumby's tourism. The trek took us through some beautiful scenery and back to base camp with giant smiles on our faces. - Have no fear all gear is provided if you do not have your own. - Morning coffee is on the house! - if you have no real experience with ATV's Ron will be happy to give you the necessary run through. - Very reasonably priced and Ron is great at assessing your skill level which will set the tone for the day. - Unique setting and his wife's artwork is both whimsical and mischievous We had been staying at the Cozy Cabins not far off and thought this was the perfect way to end our trip.

We were working on a new film and needed to capture some aerial wilderness footage with our drone, so we booked a 4 hour ATV tour with Big Bear to take us into the bush. Our only request: to be able to film some spectacular untouched locations. Ron took us up to a high point lookout where we could easily fly over the trees. Lunch break. Then we drove through some pretty fun forest trails to a small serene lake where we could film without anyone around...exactly what we were looking for! On the way back we stopped beside a field to capture a large herd of wild deer grazing. What luck! It was a really great day, and we got some truly epic shots. Thanks Big Bear!
