Loved every little piece of it. How Ron setup the dogs, the running up the hill, the short break with tea and the dog treats (for the dogs of course), the beautiful view, the running dogs in front of us and how happy they are.I can only recommend going on a dog adventure with Ron. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness.

Never drive ATV in my life. I found Ron at Big Bear to help me. I've had 4 hours of fantastic experience! Different trails and picturesque views! On top of all that we've met a baby bear :) Thank you for such a day.

We had an excellent day kayaking with Ron. He was experienced, professional and very friendly which allowed us to progress our abilities quickly and take full advantage of the day. Please thank your wife for the lovely lunch too!

Ron was very nice when we first met him but that changed as soon as we got on the quads. The trip was posted as an adrenaline experience but we weren't allowed to go over 20KPH. Ron has anger management problems too, he swears continually and has a very aggressive personality . His trips are more a guided leisure ride for first time female riders rather than an adrenaline experience. At least 50% of the tour was on logging roads instead of trails. I would not recommend Ron or his company

It is very unfortunate that you had a bad experience and we would be happy to discuss your ride directly. Please feel free to contact us at ron@bigbeartours.ca

I ATV a lot and this is by far the best experience I ever had, why?

1) Unlike other places; Ron (The king of ATV) will customize the pace and difficulty of the tour according to your needs. He accepts the same group of people together or - like my case - I was alone with guidance on the trails enjoying an advanced ride as I requested.
2) the views are stunning you will be able to take mind blowing photos, take your expensive SLR and Ron will keep it safe and clean for you.

3) the trails are so natural unlike "commercialized trails" and it really feels you are very close to nature

4) the service and flexibility is beyond your imagination.

In brief, if you are in Vernon or anywhere close by, it's worth your time and money to do this ATV tour.

We signed up and paid for an 1.5 hour ATV tour, but in total we only spent about 45-50 minutes riding the ATVs. Started the tour 15 minutes late, and had an unnecessary extended snack break for 30ish minutes. All in all disappointing and lame.

They took a long time to get set up when we first arrived, and it was only our group of 3 adults (who had driven and ridden ATVs before). When we were on the trail our guide took us around their private property that had some fantastic views, but as it was a guided tour we were restricted with how fast we could go as he led the way and maintained a speed of less than 30km/hr. It was a wide track trail through the forest and meadows, nothing technical about it, in fact for our group of adults we found it pretty lame as we've gone ATVing before and done several tours.

After doing 2 different short tracks we stopped for a 'snack break' which was thoughtful and nice (they provided complimentary granola bars and juice). But we didn't really care to stop for a break (as we were paying to ride ATVs!) and as it was just our group we were hoping he'd skip the break, or at least cut it short and let us ride some more. The worst part was that this supposedly "short snack break" was close to 30minutes LONG! And we had started our tour 15 minutes late! We asked if we could do another run through the tracks, but our guide was somewhat demeaning and said it was time to head back - which would have been accurate had we actually started on time and didn't waste time having an unnecessary break.

Overall it was disappointing that our guide didn't read the dynamics of the group, ask what we wanted to do as it was just the 3 of us, and treat us as though we had no idea what we were doing or that we were too inexperienced to go a little faster. I would not go back nor recommend this place for ATVing.

WOW!!!!
Ron & his lovely wife welcomed us all with open arms.
What a fantastic set up these guys have.
We had a party of 4,
Three adults & one 10 year old girl.
I do not drive & was very nervous and Ron suggested it was maybe best I traveled in the back of his avt.
How embarrassing!!!!!
But I'm so glad I did, the big bear trail was not for the big Jessie's of this world. i.e ME!!!
Weather was amazing, and the setting, well you could not get any better.
Being from Scotland, this beautiful weather is a bit out of the ordinary for us, especially in September!!!
Lunch was scrummy and all in all, a great day out.
The rest of the party were raving about their experience on the avt's. (Since they were driving them themselves 😃)
Can't recommend this highly enough.
Book & enjoy!!!
Thank you Ron, you had us in fits of laughter all day with your stories.
Your are a dude man.

We were two English lads looking for abit of adventure, adrenaline and sight seeing and Ron certainly didn't disappoint. We bought the 5hr Brown Bear tour and the whole trip was challenging and exhilarating with some breathtaking views. Ron himself was extremely friendly and talkative, he kept us well fed and entertained with some brilliant stories. We would recommend this to anyone looking for some adventure and even those looking for a more relaxed approach as the whole tour is tailored to your needs! Thanks again Ron for a great experience, would do the whole thing again in a heartbeat!

My wife and I have our own ATV and requested a guided ATV tour in the Lumby area. Ron at Big Bear obliged and charged a reasonable rate. Ron took us out on a variety of trails from forestry roads to wooded trails and trails along powerlines. We visited several lakes and enjoyed the scenic views and had a nice lunch which was provided. We met Ron's wife and Dad and all were very friendly and a joy to talk to. I would recommend this ATV tour to anyone. Ron will ensure that you have a wonderful time no matter your skill level. We can't wait to return for another tour and would like to try one of the Kayaking trips.

We were a group of 5 women with some ATV experience. Had a blast our guides were awesome, equipment great, scenary stunning. We had a day of fun, great lunch and course was challenging enough for our level. Excellent value for money and a brilliant way to spend a day with friends. We plan to do a weekend overnight next year.
