    Great Place For Families
Love Arenal, have visited for years and never tire of it. Beautiful beach and clear sea. Lovely surrounding area with a few eateries and bars. Walk through an area of shrubs, or by road, to Macaret a quaint fishing village.

Best first family holiday abroad with a but of a movie romance! 😁❤️
We arrived early evening. Firstly we grabbed a drink from the downstairs bar in block A. We were so thirsty as we had travelled from the UK. We had been awake since 5:30am. We were greeted by a beautiful young lady called Ada. I have a difficult name to remember or pronounce. So this meant a lot that she remembered my name from telling her once. Ada always served with a smile. Made conversation. We felt so welcomed by her especially. We also met a lovely chap in the food truck outside, Joel I think his name was. What a beautiful resort. So clean, with enough to do and places to relax to. Plenty of food choice for an all inclusive. The beach is also phenomenal!! This was our first EVER family holiday abroad. And I honestly do not want to go home tomorrow. We infact (myself and my 3 boys) joked of cutting up our passports and living here, growing our own food and even pot washing to pay the bills. If I had the money, we would move to this beautiful island. We bumped into a family we knew from the UK. So my son had someone to play with the whole time. My elder two boys met two lovely girls who they played pool with or went swimming with and I (I've been single for a fair few years now) met the most wonderful man unexpectedly who lives about an hour away from me in the UK. We will be staying in touch and plan to meet next week, when we are home and caught up with the washing! Honestly, this has been our dream holiday. Not just the venue and amenities, but the staff and people have really made this just perfect. I now have a new retirement plan. Thank you Adda and Hotel Aguamarina!!! We will be booking for the same dates next year!!! ❤️

Beautiful cove for families, safe for swimming and great for snorkeling
The beach was lovely and clean, with golden sands and crystal clear water. The shallow waters and graded depths also made it ideal for families. It is a beach with lifeguards, which, combined with the shallow waters, make it lovely and safe for little people or those who are less confident swimmers. Great snorkeling opportunities close to the rocks, and on calm days visibility was superb. On the east side of the cove, there are amenities available, with a beach side restaurants, sun beds and pedalo/paddle board/kayak hire, with the latter being cash only. There is a board walk that runs along the back, making it easy to access most of the cove without difficulty, but there are steps down from the board walk on the eastern side of the cove - I did not see a ramp though this may have been available further round the bay.

My wife & i along with 2 friends stayed at the Aguamarine club hotel for 1 week.
The flight was good, transfer only 25 mins. We arrived at the hotel & it took 1hr.20. Mins to get checked in, very understaffed ! The hotel tax was €3.30 per room, i paid extra for Pool View but all we could see was a Palm tree ! No table on the balcony, we had to use chair out the room. Needed blankets at night due to no heating for 3 days. The shower was broken, took 3 days to fix. Only 3 sockets in the room, T.V. KETTLE, FRIDGE. All available at a price.
Food was about 2 star, breakfast cereal bowls were finger bowls.
No A.I. cocktails, you had to pay, kids got tubs of ice cream but had to pay for cornets ! The lounge area was cold, no good when it rained & you had to stay inside. I have attached some photos to view.

This beach has beautiful deep light brown sand.
The water is clean and clear.
There are adequate parasols and loungers at €17.50 per set.
Near the rocks snorkelling has lots of fish.

The best beach in my opinion, water is so clear with amazing fish swimming all around you. Definitely buy the full face snorkeling mask! So easy to use . About 30euros. The sunbeds and cover are a must in extreme temp as they're is no shade. They are 19 euros for 1 spot of x2 beds ( cheaper than some of the other beaches ).

Great resort but very quiet once away from the hotel complex. The hotel complex are set for families.

Ideal if you want a slow pace of life and over the age of 60.
There is one bar that is livelyish called "The Outback" and is worth a visit, there are few restaurants in the area that are worth a visit.

Oh wow, what a gorgeous beach this is! The water is lovely and warm and clear.

The sand is lovely and golden.

My 14 year old son really enjoyed swimming & exploring the water. Apparently there were a lot of fish to see!

Definitely recommend

The su beds are €17.50 for 2 and an umbrella. We bought some chairs from a supermarket for our 10 day stay

We drove from one side of the island to the other to find this beach and it was incredible. Soft sand like velvet, so clean and the sea was perfectly clear and a lovely temperature. You can stand for so long before it gets deep. The beach is backed by a choice of lovely restaurants too.

This really is a fantastic family friendly beach. The sand is gently shelving so it doesn’t get too deep to quick if you have little ones. I did see a review mention no sun beds, whilst we were in the area the sun beds and parasols were set up so I think it may just not be there early/pre season. It’s nice to swim around the rocks and see the sea life, but with such a big beach you can enjoy a dip anywhere. Nice range of bars and restaurants on the beach if you want a bit of time to cool down.
