This is a fantastic excursion to do with children: it's short and beautiful. The only drawback is that it's difficult to get there by public transport, and the parking lot is very small (you can leave your car near the small church, or in the public parking). My advice is to get there by car, and, if you're an early arriver, you'll have no problem. Just take the highway from Palma to Alcudia, and exit at the Sa Pobla exit, going opposite to the path leading to the town. In five minutes you'll get there.

If you're lucky and it's been raining, you'll find one of the most beautiful spectacles of the nature, since there are torrential waters flowing at more than 50 m³/s, which is a lot, in a very old forest. If you don't go there during the wet season, it's still a quite nice excursion, and you can have lunch there. There are public lavatories, and the entrance is open from 10AM to 5PM.

We were there with our children (aged 3 and 5), and five or six more families, with children of similar ages, and they all loved the day in the countryside, looking at the sheep, feeding a donkey, and, in general, having a lot of fun...

Absolutely incredible and a must visit location if it has recently rained. Seeing a huge river magically come out of the ground has to be seen to be believed. Bizarre not to see this listed in English guides like Lonely Planet.

An easy walk through a nature reserve. After the heavy rains a underground water come out on the surface and form the torrents.
But even when you're not lucky enough to be there after a rain, and you can´t see the torrents, it's still a very nice walk around the countryside. Children can see how the domestic animals graze, or how figs are grown etc ...

No sign of the torrent when we were there as it had been dry for weeks, but a magical walk nonetheless. Full of birds.
