About
This property is going to be closed during the period of November 1st until February 28th. Alfabia, originally the residence of the Moorish viceroy of Majorca , Ben - Abet, who ordered to make the mudejar celling in 1220, lies on the southern slope of the Coll de Soller. The house and the garden combine an area of outstanding beauty and have been declared by the goverment a cultural monument in 1954. The murmur of the water is a constant backdrop to the whole walk. Inside the house, worthy to mention "el llibre de ses franqueses" given by the King Jaume I in 1246 to Majorca and the gothic chair, hand made in Flanders at the end of XV century.

    Absolutely beautiful
One of the loveliest places I’ve visited. So tranquil. Quite understated but picturesque and relaxing with lovely planting. Background mountains made for lovely scenery. Really interesting house. Nice little cafe.

    Beautiful garden oasis
We visited at noon, mid-week. Car park is quite small, and I'd imagine you'd need to park elsewhere on a busy day. On a hot day the gardens were lovely, plenty of shade. Beautiful fountain arches, lots of history, moorish architecture, stately home interiors with a gazillion prints and paintings, a massive olive oil pressing machine. Also a cafe/bar for snacks and drinks. A nice way to spend a couple of hours 😊

    Lovely tranquil garden
An absolutely perfect garden, not the biggest but easy to walk around, plenty to see and an perfect tranquil spot to spend a hot sunny afternoon as there is also plenty of shade. The bar in the garden can be busy so just sit and enjoy the view and the garden. The house is also lovely to stroll around with plenty to see and explore and for the 8 euro entry fee is good value if this is your kind of thing

A highlight of our Mallorca holiday
Fabulous gardens. You can explore and discover all the quirky corners and wonderful views. Off the tourist trail so no crowds to spoil the enjoyment. I am into garden heritage but a casual visitor would also enjoy these gardens. Nice little cafe area as well, set amongst the trees. Enjoy!

Secluded tropical heaven in the hills above Palma
Just returned from holiday in Mallorca and this garden was a particular highlight for me. Set in the hills above Palma, it seems to have its own micro climate. Here varieties of Palms and succulents grow around the old farmhouse , which viewed from the rear looks like a colonial bungalow in India! I so loved the wilder parts too, where goats and animals graze under orange and olive trees.. Wisteria drapes over canopies and tunnels. Glimpses to the house through towering palms. A restful cafe at its heart with ponds full of fish. Beautiful birdsong. The house is fascinating to walk around too. We were there about two hours. Not to be rushed! .

    Well worth a visit
This is a beautiful garden with some unique features, plus a fascinating house. It is also very accessible, even for those without a car, as it is on the main bus route between Palma and Soller, and only one stop from Bunyola. We visited in Spring, but even in Summer I think its valley location and mix of water and shade would be inviting.

Gorgeous gardens with a nice cafe
The gardens are in a stunning setting, the Tramuntana mountains are a dramatic backdrop. There are some lovely garden areas and the water features are delightful. We had good coffee and lunch with excellent orange juice in the garden. Lovely views of the garden from the house which is an example of Mallorcan decor from a previous time.

Absolutely beautiful and excellent value for money
A stunning old house and beautifully well kept gardens. A £9 entry fee for both house and garden is excellent value. We spent around an hour and a half there and thoroughly enjoyed it.

    An enjoyable morning
We arrived at the gardens after a short bus ride from the centre of Sóller. We had a lovely morning wondering around the gardens and having a drink at the café. Everything is well maintained and you can explore the history of the gardens and the house. Definitely worth a visit if you’re staying locally.

An enjoyable couple of hours with lovely flowers and water features plus an interesting mallorcan home
We arrived by the antique train from Soller not realising that Bunyola stop is a good 45 mins walk mainly on a busy road only to find there is a stop at the gardens, can you request it ?? you would need to be in the front of the train. The gardens were beautiful and enjoyed a coffee on the terrace. I used QE code which we found useful although not needed in the house. Alfabia gardens were well worth a visit, on return we took the bus which is just outside the gardens (just to be mindful if the buses are packed they may not stop)

I want to be kind, however I was disappointed with our visit here. Although it was inexpensive, I came out feeling I wanted reimbursing. The garden held no beauty in September. From what I could see of the planting it may be a little better in Spring time. The old buildings had some charm and historical interest, we found relaxation and refreshments at a small cafe bar, but unfortunately the grounds lacked attention, actually barren in some places. My opinion would be to get a garden designer in to give it a boost, the small pond in the centre is crying out for a Monet makeover! Obviously Spanish planting! Lots of potential, needs some passion.

Absolute disgrace. We (group of 3 hobby photographers and 3 models) wanted to take pictures of the models with backgrounds of the gardens. We asked the lady and she said it was ok. The moment we started near the entrance she came to us that we had to pay 120eur per person extra. Her argument was that we had professional equipment with us but they were normal reflex cameras. We asked our entrance money back and quitted the gardens. When you say first ok and then ask 120eur per person (x6) it feels like a scam.

The garden may be beautiful and well looked after, however the entry price for the visit is far to high. We didn't know exactly what to expect, but having visited several botanical gardens abroad and at home before, we thought there might be a nice walk and maybe an hour plus visit, however here, its hardly a loop walk, and maybe 15mins and you have walked around the whole garden. very disappointing theres not much on offer here for the entry. We maybe should of looked at alternatives to this. The cafe is very pricey. at 3.50 euros for a small water thats 50cents in a shop

Reduce the entry price. It was definitely not worth €7.50 entry. We were through the gardens we had actually travelled some distance especially to see in about 20 minutes. Plenty of shady palms but the rest was pretty uninspiring. I actually enjoyed the house and out buildings more.
Very disappointed overall.

We were there very early on a Spring morning, probably a good time. A fairly small but beautiful, slightly Islamic garden in a beautiful setting.
Not overly manicured but somewhat relaxed with an equally pretty house. all a bit a faded and soft.
Easy to reach by bus from Palma., the Soller electric railway passes close by.

We enjoyed it very much but don't expect fireworks.

We are on our honeymoon. Asked the receptionist if we can take photos - she said yes. But when we come dressed nice - the owner told us its a wedding session - 120E. She was very rude. I felt like a criminal when she looked at me. Do not go there unless you want your day ruined.
