If you speak Japanese, you probably can give this museum 5 stars. But we don't and my 10 and 8 year old kids soon found themselves bored. If you don't really understand what you are looking at it gets a little boring fast. For smaller...More

Too much information in very little space. Almost claustrophobic. No designed route, little information in other language other than Japanese. Maybe you should spend your time in the neighborhood in another museum.

We went with our young adult boys...they loved it. You can easily spend a whole day here, so much to see! It just kept getting more interesting. We loved it.

Took a 30-year old who romped around like a kid. Very good for young kids and adults will enjoy it, too.

Very spacious and many collections. Divided into several topics. There is so much to see, it's best to spend some special time.

Nice museum with lots of exhibits. A pity that most descriptions were in Japanese. Nevertheless, the staff were very friendly and had some hands on exhibits for the kids. Worth a visit if you have kids who like dinosaurs and science exhibits.

There's so much to see, that it could easily take two days to see and try everything. Little tip: if you don't speak Japanese, take an audioguide or you'll be lost and unable to understand anything. Perfect to do something different while in Tokyo or...More

Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping

I would send an email to the museum and see if they would work with you or have an answer. The museum was a great place to visit, and if you had a business meeting/party there you would all truly enjoy the experience.
