I have very mixed feelings on this cruise. I guess it depends on what you want out of the experience: whether you want food/drink or the boat ride itself. The food was awful. No one in our group liked it, even the two people who love Japanese food and are NOT picky eaters. The tempura was "ok", but the only thing close to everyone at least agreeing on eating. Now, if you like alcohol and you aren't very hungry to begin with, then the unlimited drinks could be your bag. However, with that you have surrounding table mates who get very loud and obnoxious. Like an inch away from drunk. So basically this boat ride is like a floating bar with bad bar food. I personally went for the experience, with no expectations of good food. So for that, I give it a little better rating than "average". Once we were half way in to the ride they stopped the boat and we were able to get out and take pictures. I got many good ones of the Skytree and other boats with their lights. I am a bit disappointed though with the night cruise. It was sold to be as a cherry blossom cruise (instead of the usual night cruise that goes along the Rainbow Bridge). So I thought I would see pretty lights in the trees or some other thing to clue me in to the specialness of this "cherry blossom" cruise. It wasn't that special though. Most of the scenery was the city and buildings I would see on my normal walk through the town. And the windows weren't that clean, so it wasn't like I could take good pictures while we sat and ate. I had to wait until the boat actually stopped and we could get out. Then the only pictures we could take were of the Skytree and other boats. For $100 US/person this was WAY overpriced for what you got. If I did it again I would do a day time cruise and maybe a country one, not this city cruise.

We were graciously welcomed aboard this absolutely spotless and well operated ship. You remove shoes on boarding and are provided bag for them. We were a group of 5 Americans on board with a ship of local residents. All were so kind with us, helped us with food and drinks and customs. We felt very welcomed and it was a highlight of our visit to Japan. Miki was our server who worked hard with her app to translate the narrative on the sights and process. She and the staff were so kind and helpful. Thank you for a great night.

We took this Yakatabune river cruise one night and this offers gorgeous night view of many city attractions. There are many Companies offering similar cruises for comparable price. The cruise comes with dinner and all you can drink beer, sake, pop or tea. Service was good. The boarding pier was very easy to find. Just off Asakusa station across to the other side of the river. This station is served by multiple subway lines and train lines but not one coveted by JR. I think the boat can take up to 60 people per trip. Mine only have 20 people. You need to make reservation and pay for it by credit card first. I did it a day before the cruise snd had no problem getting on. They only respond during office hour.

We rode this "yakatabune" boat on our last night in Tokyo.
The excellent night view of Tokyo and delicious foods were unforgettable memory in our trip in Tokyo.
After dinner, we enjoyed a stunning view of major sights of Tokyo such as Skytree and Rainbow bridge from the deck.
The boat was quite big, very comfortable and well equipped.
The staff were cheerful and very kind.
Wi-fi, English menu were available. Their service was perfect for us.
I would highly recommend Amitatsu for your trip in Tokyo.
