報新山宗延寺は日蓮宗の寺院です。環七沿いに面しており場所はわかりやすいです。本尊は十界諸尊と日蓮上人像です。本尊の祖師象は通称「読経の祖師」と」呼ばれ、江戸十阻止の一つに数えられて江戸市民に親しまれたとされています。また初代虎徹が寺宝として保存されているそうです。

環七通り沿いにある日蓮宗のお寺で、真盛寺からすぐのところにあります。
境内には大きな仏様があり、

大きな仏様の像があって、異世界に迷い込んだというか、不思議な感じがしました。なんかすごかったです。
入り口が環七に面しているので、入り口に迷う心配は少ないですね。

堀の内界隈は、日蓮宗のお祖師様(妙法寺)の影響か、同じ日蓮宗の寺院が幾つもあります。この寺もそんな一つですが、環七に面しているので、落ち着きが欠ける感じがします。もちろん、寺よりも環七が後にできたので、寺には責任はありませんが･･･

妙法寺を中心とした寺町の中にある環七沿いのお寺です。境内には本堂、観世音菩薩永代供養塔、書院等がありこじんまりとした印象でした。また多くの鉢には蓮が植えられており、時期が来れば華やかになるのではないかと思いました。丁度、今の時期は八重桜が見事に咲いていました。

本堂も良かったですが、境内にある稲荷神社も存在感がありました。参拝した時、ちょうど読経の時間でした。ますます雰囲気がありました。

日蓮宗のお寺で、報恩山と号します。堀ノ内斎場の南東側にはお寺が固まってありますが、その一角にあります。周囲は住宅街ですが、お寺が固めっている一角だけは別世界の雰囲気です。
