Neighborhood: Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.

Underground, literally and metaphorically speaking, loud tinny bar! I loved the mix & match of people in there. Locals, expats, punk, hard rock and duck-face selfing people partying until the morning. Shouldn't forget to mention the photo-display on a wall screen of the bartender (also owner probably) posing in sexy bikinis in some exotic beach with his friends (and clients).

Drinks cheaper than anywhere around.

I highly recommend this place!

This is one of my favorite bars in Tokyo. Really friendly staff (Tsune, Heidi and Sho) and they will play music requests. Beer is on tap which I like. It's a relatively small rock and roll bar located in the basement of a building a little off the beaten path of Kabukicho, but still a short walk from seibu shinjuku station.

It's a strange mix of expats, DJs, bar workers and anyone who missed the last train home. Tsune the owner might possibly be in the bar stool next to you challenging you to a tequila race, after which you may find yourself in a wobbly floored bathroom with pink fluff covered walls. There might be a girl with a norwegian sounding name working the bar tonight and for some reason the last three songs she played were all by Tom Waits.. and I swear to god I think I heard someone moaning, low..

This is the final level of Tokyo.

I'm glad you enjoyed! I am Norwegian but somehow I don't remember meeting you! (Maybe I was also too drunk? Haha!) Hope to see you next time!

No entrance fee, no sake but another Japan liqueur with good taste and jaranees beers. Great host! Good music :)
