Neighborhood: Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.

Super cute little bar, it was nice to see that some Melbournians had been there before us, as they had some Minus18 stickers at the back of the bar. We don't speak Japanese, so we didn't get to talk to any of the people there, but it was cool to hang out and check out this awesome little bar. We bar hopped a couple of queer bars in the area, and this was our starting point, definitely worth a visit. :)

Shinjuku does many small bars and on Saturday nights, this one is aimed at the ladies who like other ladies. Very small with some bad karaoke but 1000yen gets you all you can drink if you get there early so pretty good value. Best to go with a friend as it's usually just locals and the language barrier can get tiring for all. Fun vibe and friendly.

Went here with my spouse and a friend on a Sat night, which was women only. Busy with a good atmosphere! Free karaoke, no cover. Hoping to improve my Japanese so I can chat with more of the ladies here. Only downside was that the bathroom is small and hard to get to but that's how it is in most places in Tokyo.
