墓地中心で観光要素は少ないように思いました

香蓮寺は信濃町駅のすぐ南にある急坂（千日坂）を下り、首都高速道路＆中央線の高架に沿うように進み、みなみもと町公園の手前にある寺院です。

広い境内は厳かな雰囲気

「香蓮寺」をご存じですか？JR信濃町駅から公明新聞社の前を通り、みなみもと町公園方面に徒歩約10分ほどのところにある寺院です。
浄土宗の寺院で山号を栄古山常行院と号します。門構えは狭く感じますが、境内は広く剪定された樹木が綺麗です。
厳かな雰囲気が漂っています。是非、訪ねてみてくださいね。

建てこんだ住宅街にあります

新宿区南元町にある浄土宗の寺院で、栄古山常行院と号します。ＪＲ信濃町駅で下り、南側を四谷方面に向かって住宅街の中を歩いていくと左手にあります。廃屋の様に見える一戸建てや中規模のマンションや雑居ビルなどで建てこんだ地域です。
