潮干観音（潮踏観音）が知られています

JR四谷駅と四谷三丁目駅の中間にある観音坂の途中にあるビル型の寺院です。
坂の名前にもなっている潮干観音（潮踏観音）が知られていますが、屋外に延命地蔵などもありました。

観音坂のお寺

四ツ谷寺町の観音坂にあるお寺です。
真言宗の町のお寺といった感じですが、坂の斜面に沿って、高台にある様子が面白いです。

服部半蔵で有名な西念寺の近く。

服部半蔵で有名な西念寺の近くにある大きなお寺で、JR四ツ谷駅と信濃町の間にある起伏に富んだ一角にありました。若葉という地名なのですが、周囲にはお寺が多く独特の雰囲気でした。

新宿区若葉にある高野山真言宗の寺院で、金鶏山と号します。非常に大きなお寺です。高台にあるので良く目立ちます。御府内八十八ヶ所霊場39番札所、江戸三十三観音18番観音、関東九十一薬師霊場13番札所です。ホームページがあります。

大きな屋内霊廟です

門を入り、狛犬の階段の上に観音堂が有ります。潮干十一面観音のある観音堂が有名です。屋内霊廟で、入口付近にお稲荷様と延命地蔵菩薩があります。

四谷小学校の南側にある高野山真言宗のお寺

1598年に創建、その後、現在の地に移転された。道路脇の塀には大きな墓地の案内板が掛けられている。入口のすぐ先に室内墓地、四谷霊廟のコンクリート造の建物が立っている。左側には地蔵菩薩がある。週末午後、数人の人が参拝に来ていた。

潮干観音

四谷の観音坂にある高野山真言宗のお寺です。
本尊は潮干十一面観世音菩薩像で、潮干観音とも呼ばれています。潮の満ち引きで観音様が湿ったり乾いたりするのこの名が付いたようです。
お寺の方に一言言ってから４階にある観音堂を参拝しました。季節の花を描いた格天井も見事です。
