We went to Big Echo in Shinjuku. It was the more cheaper place out of 3 places we saw and recommended by the hotel. It was close to our hotel. We had so much fun. Staff were friendly.

We rented a room for two hours. This is not as glitzy as other Karaoke places. No disco lighting or raised stage. They did have english songs available. Food and drinks available.

I am not a gifted singer, however it doesn't seem to matter when singing Karaoke with friends in Tokyo. 6 of us (3 Japanese locals and 3 Aussies) took a private room at Big Echo. Book at reception downstairs and head up in the lift...More

Great fun! We just walked in off the street and sang up a storm for an hour for about $25. Instant good times. The booths are small though...any more than 3 people and I think you'd get claustrophobic.

Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the
Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops
that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest
areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's
Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to
recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh
yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast,
Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.
