The area
Address
Neighborhood: Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.

- Adrian PSingapore, Singapore237 contributionsToy ParadiseBeware! Your child will never come out of the shop empty-handed once you step into Kiddyland! This is a four-storey toy shop that will help you build up your leg muscles if you choose not to use the lift. The array of toys on display is just tremendous. Worth a visit.Visited December 2019Traveled with familyWritten January 5, 2020
- lglbgl143 contributionsSnoopy Fan HeavenWow! As a Snoopy fan I was delighted to visit this store. The basement has tons of Snoopy and Peanuts merchandise. It was really hard not to buy more Snoopy merchandise. Note: The other store I like to visit to purchase Snoopy merchandise is the Peanuts Headquarters store at Knott's Berry Farm in California. It took quite a bit of time to explore the four floors of this store. If you are a fan of Disney, Studio Ghibli, Hello Kitty, Rilakkuma, or Sumikko Gurashi then this is the store for you! Will definitely be back!Visited December 2019Written January 16, 2020
- Stefanie HLincoln, Nebraska1,591 contributionsFun stopI was expecting an enormous toy store, but this store was much more manageable in size! It has five floors, and Snoopy Town is in the basement. We had so much fun! They sell Snoopy, Hello Kitty, Gudetama, Studio Ghibli, Star Wars, Lego, etc. Worth a stop if you are in the neighborhood!Visited June 2023Written June 24, 2023
- chicitygurl69 contributionsThe Best Toy Store in TokyoLet me start off by saying that I'm not a tourist; I've been in Tokyo for 5 months and I've been here 3-4x. I passed by the place a few times without going in because I didn't know what it was, but one day I had free time, so why the heck not? One of the best choices I've ever made. They sell everything spread out on 5 floors from Ghibli to Hello Kitty, Disney, Winne the Pooh, Lego, and every cartoon, Japanese or foreign that you can imagine. I especially love their collection of Ghibli items, Gudetama (doesn't exist in the States and super-hard to find even in Tokyo), and Rikkuma x JR collection that's super adorable. Very much worth visiting, & it's in Harajuku!Visited February 2015Traveled soloWritten February 5, 2015

Disney character, Lego, Nano Block, etc, they have it all. The price is standard, like in other store. Parents, please keep your wallet tighly :D. - Ariel RileyMelbourne, Australia155 contributionsCharacter ParadiseHonestly Kiddyland is probably my favourite toy store in the world. It's multiple levels of frivolous fun that will delights kids, both young and old. You'll find everything here: Hello Kitty, Rilakkuma, Snoopy, Harry Potter, Disney, Nanoblocks, Lego, Star Wars, electronic goodies, stationary delights and so much more. Though it is not the cheapest place to find toys it is one of the best places in Tokyo to find a multitude of paraphernalia from a heap of different interests under the same roof. It's hard to leave without buying something as there are so many different varieties of cute. Visit, if only for the cute overdose guaranteed to bring a smile to even the most stoic of faces.Written November 7, 2014

As you will see from my other reviews we are massive Disney and Harry Potter fans so this was a must visit for us based on what others have said.
Yes this place is huge - 5 floors of "cutsie" stuff, but other than Snoopy in the basement which was AMAZING, the rest is very average. I have to say we have been spoilt by Disney and the Disney Stores in the US from all of our travels so that is our benchmark and this place has such limited Harry Potter, Marvel, Disney and Star Wars stuff it is just not worth going out of your way for.
If you are in the area, by all means stop in and fight the crowds and have a look, but seriously, other than Snoopy, if you are not close by, don't make the trek as you will be disappointed.

Cramped. You will always bump into people while strolling around.
Expensive. Other international brand toy shops offer much more lower price.

My husband and I loved this store. We got a pusheen cat, Harry Potter chopsticks, and a Cat bus from My Neighbor Totoro. It was a delight to just browse around. Some things are quite expensive but others are reasonably priced. I believe this is a place for everyone, not just kids.

Yes, they do. I saw those when I visited the store. The selection isn’t really huge but they do have Shinkansen toys. There are other toy stores in Akihabara but harder to locate them then kiddyland.

The store there is room for breastfeeding? I would go visit the store but I have a baby of 6 months, and my concern is to have room to change diapers and feed him.
Can you buy online? Or is there a way to contact the store to buy??? Im far away... u.u
