The Shibuya 109 building is unique and eye catching even from a distance. It’s just across from the Shibuya pedestrian scramble. There are 10 stories with lots and lots of little stores selling fashion and beauty accessories for teenage girls or young women. We were...More

Amongst the major Dept stores in Shibuya district, 109 stands out for me as one with unique stores. Though mostly clothing, I found the clothing on the affordable side, while not sacrificing in style and quality. I enjoyed looking around the store with Marvel and...More

Can't miss this building. It's right on top of the "crossing". Floors and floors of small little stalls selling clothing, jewelry and other boutique items. Believe some of the clothing is straight from the designer. Some very beautiful and unique clothing. Looked but didn't buy....More

We spent some time here with a Japanese friend who said it is the nr 1 place among Japanese teen girls. It has lots of tiny shops with colourful clothes aimed exactly at that market segment. We ended up in a place where the girls...More

When I visited Tokyo, I knew I had to go to Shibuya 109. I'm a 25 year old woman, so the fashion was right up my alley. To be honest, it's a bit overwhelming with all of the stores and people around. But, my shopping...More

This shopping mall is super cute. Reasonable priced with unique clothes. All small shops . The clothes ranged from cute to goth. Accessories available. Food on top level. Sadly Japanese sizes run small. Skinny teenage girls would love this place. If you are a parent...More

We spent an hour or so here on the first day in Shibuya. It was raining quite heavily so this was a good way to check out the fashions, and staying dry at the same time. I liked how there are free plastic bags to...More

Right next to Shibuya Scramble Crossing so you can't miss it. It is packed with shops, people and full on busy-ness. Mostly suited to the younger set but still worth a look. Apparently celebrities shop here but we didn't spot any!

Had high shopping expectations. Possibly that’s why I was tad disappointed. Or because I had walked over from Harajuku. Items looked cool and vibrant (suits best teens and young adults) but they were much pricey. :( didn’t get to dine in the mall. A visit...More

Shibuya 109 is a nice shopping area if you have the time to slowly browse through the shops available. We had not much time but was happy to find the Peach John undergarment shop here and bought a few items.

Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the
Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops
that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest
areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's
Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to
recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh
yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast,
Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.
