There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.

Me and two friends went to womb on a Saturday because we'd heard some good things and were keen to check out the hip hop DJs playing that week.

when we got there (12.30) the crowd was probably 1/2 tourists which was more than we wanted but not too bad. That crowd was SUPER sleazy and gropy towards me and my friends, classic australian travelers.

The music was good though with some fun techno/hip hop so we stayed it out, and at about 2.30 the best DJ came out and the music was awesome. Most of the tourists had left at this point and we had the best dance of our lives for maybe 3 hours, so much fun!!

I got punched in the face at one point by a very large blond girl... and then had to spend a good deal of time in the bathroom soaking up blood from my nose... But we made it to 6am and all in all had a great night :)

Young crowd and quite fun club. Too packed but the room at the top is more relaxed and the music was better - less techno. Wish they had better air conditioning considering the number of people there but overall good fun.

It was much better than we expected!! The Music was great, the venue was dirty but the crowd was fun and unpretentious. Girls in leggings and a tshirt, nerdy businessmen and visitors were all jumping to the same beat.

Me and my bf went together on our short visit to Tokyo and were deciding btwn this and Ageha. Chose Womb because of ease of access and the event on looked good.

Music - mainly EDM + jpop
There were some resident DJs playing some generic but nice dancable beats that everyone could jump to (umet ozcan/alesso/r3hab/showtek)
then there was a Dj "marc panther" who was playing original stuff but he was a PRO and it was really enjoyable. ( uplifting trance)
The Jpop guy was a good show but it was a little bit cheesy, thank goodness he only stayed for 40 minutes. The female local chicks were loving it though hahaha.

Venue - it's a dilapitated old club, certainly no luxury scene. There is a main stage which is pretty small and the other levels are kind of just bars. Anyone looking for a-lot of pop or rnb /variety from the mainstage will be dissapointed.

Demo - I am impressed with how open minded the club is - it is open to ANYONE. You can wear your heels and a slick dress if you wish but if you cbf flats or even sport shoes are acceptable too. Anything goes.
This is not a place to go to check out hot sexy chicks or to hook up. There were more guys then girls maybe a ratio of 3-4:1.

If you just want to enjoy your music and dance THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU

Getting to/from
We got off at shibuya station and it wasnt too far to walk but it was down some random alleyway that was a bit difficutl to find. The entrance is a steeley door with the word "WOMB" imprinted on it and we walked past it the first time, use google maps.
We danced all night and went home at 5am with the first train. Sure we were wrecked the next day but the music was good and stayed good so we made our 3500yen entrance fee worth it.

Drinks are cheap comparable to Australia - tequila shots were 600yen.

Overall a great night and we would definately come here again !

I heard great things on the internet. Make the typical club plan show up at 12:00 party all night. But It was just full of Euro Back backers, the DJ were only mixing simple techno, the crowd was LAME, like 1 cute girl for every 25 dudes,...Place was Very Dirty, and even the VIP lounge was lame. I travel a lot in asia and hit a lot of clubs to check out the party...THERE IS NO PARTY here...unless you are in search of a Euro BackPacker, or M2M love. Save your 3500 Yen for another club...will NEVER COME BACK....

After everything I found online about the top clubs in Tokyo I was looking forward to hitting Womb. It had been listed as one, if not the top club in Tokyo. First of all you need to get past all the shady prostitutes who are extremely explicit about what services they have to offer. Dodge them and then the Nigerians and you'll make your way down a quiet alley full of love hotels which are exactly what they are. You will find Womb - a nondescript building which you enter free from the street hustlers.

Their website says they give foreigners with passport 1000 yen discount off the 3500 cover charge... Not true, they didn't honor it.

Drinks we're cheap, 600 yen each but I am pretty sure they water down the alcohol cause after 4 matadors I barely felt a buzz.

The place doesn't get going until 1am which is typical in Tokyo but around 3am it was not happening -on a Saturday night.

Lots of dudes! There was maybe 1 girl for every 20 guys. It was weak.
Most of the guys were clearly on the hunt for a girl to take home or back to their hotel. Lots of foreigners here... Many all had the same creepy lustful rape look on their face.

The DJ was lame. Same beats for 3 hours. Laser, lighting was low end and the sound system was decent but who cares when your spinning weak beats.

Do not bother going here.

The place was really disappointing. After paying an entrance fee, although being told we could get in for free by the bouncer, we entered a quiet and empty place. We came around midnight, and the bartender ensured us that the place would go crazy around 2 am. even though this was a Wednesday. That did not happen, and the night peaked when i asked for a glass of water in the bar, and had to pay 500 yen.

Avoid at all cost.

There are a lot of bizarre criticisms of Womb on this website which just makes me laugh, because those concerned about the lack of dress code or 'face control'(!) are never going to like Womb because they're not there for the right reason - the music! Womb is known as one of the best clubs in the world (with the biggest disco ball, if that helps) and I think it's amazing that it's accessible to EVERYONE, ie those who are there to enjoy the experience, not those there to pose and judge.

We went on a Saturday night, but as I had a virus and was not feeling good we arrived not long after it opened at 11pm. This meant it was only barely getting going. The plus was, if you are genuinely interested in the space you can actually check it out before it becomes a generic heaving mass of bodies later in the night! It was kind of fun to watch it slowly fill up.

Drinks are reasonably priced, there are lockers to store coats and bags for a couple hundred Yen, everyone is there for a good time and the atmosphere is fun, energetic and friendly.

By 1.30am I was really feeling unwell so we had to leave - things were just starting to get going though so if you plan on making a night (morning?) of it, I would recommend going after 1am or so. There was a big line up by this time (as opposed to barely anything at 11pm).

Most but not all patrons are Japanese so foreigners will definitely not feel out of place, but it's certainly not like a club in Roppongi or something.

If you go for the right reasons you'll love it. You don't need to dress up - dress for fun, dress for comfort, dress for a good time, dress for you - and be there for the music and the atmosphere.

This is hands down one of the best nightspots in Shibuya. Offering four floors that boast different concepts, you're bound to find a room that caters to the different concepts or music genres served to you by awesome DJs. Drinks are not too expensive too.

Hint: Getting a discount coupon will get you 1000 yen of the door charge.

I've had many fun nights at Womb. The only downside is the rather steep entrance fee, which doesn't really matter to me though since I'm rich and always VIP.

First off, do yourself a favour and take the reviews you find on Google by independent websites with a grain of salt. The reviews are way too generous about this place. Womb is not exactly terrible per se but it definitely doesn't warrant the craze and positive reviews that you find on the Internet.

Let's sum this place up: three levels with dance floors (quite small though), reasonable sound system and delayed crowd entry. We went on a Saturday night and assumed that it would become quite busy by midnight - nope. A handful of about, say, thirty people including us were dancing on the middle floor. The lack of a sizeable crowd really didn't help with our experience.

Drinks are okay. A can of Kirin costed us 700 yen as a reference point.

We also notice the majority of the Western crowd were very young. Nothing wrong with that but if you're looking for a good mix of patrons - Womb is not the place. Most of the positive reviews here are probably from nomadic youngsters that can't praise what a great plastered night they had.

Save your money and go elsewhere. This place is dingy, small and full of teenage dancers. Find a better night club with a more balanced vibrant crowd and a larger dance area.
