There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.

I purposefully went to this place for only one reason, Water Mochi. for 1000yen, you got 1 Water Mochi and glass of drink that you can choose from.
The place a difficult to reach as it actually nestled inside a carpark and a private property. Google Map and Apple Map will lead you to the general area. Then you need to explore the alleyway.
The Water Mochi is unique and in my biased, think it quite delicious. Do give it a visit if you don't want to travel to the origin place for the water mochi

Urasando Gardens is a residential house divided into a small number of eateries with communal seating. It is small and stylish and gives a visitor a feeling of the ‘real Japan’ finding the place was quite difficult as it is set back from the other houses and doesn’t have prominent signage. There is a distinctive small coffee shop next door with black painted planks of wood in a rectangular formation and it is opposite a clothes shop.
When I went in, the lady who runs it was incredibly friendly and when I told her that I had made a special trip to sample this wonderful desert, she took time to chat to me about it.
I also tried the black bean tea which was delicious with a slightly malty flavour. After brewing the beans, they are removed and a little soy and some tiny crunchy granules were added and then eaten. It was a very interesting a new flavour combination.
The ‘raindrop’ cake is prepared on the premises and was served with roasted soybeans and black sugar syrup. The combination of this water jelly that I believe is made with seaweed or agar, I can’t remember and the soybean and syrup was just delicious. It didn’t feel sugary yet it had a sweetness to it. It was beautifully presented and if your in Tokyo, make the effort and go here. The Omotesandō area is very trendy and there’s Re lots of architect designed houses and top end shops, plus great eateries and friendly people.

Really cool space with different collaborations between restaurants, breweries and coffee places. The restrooms are up the stairs on the outside of the building. The day I was here they had a coffee and beer collaboration going on.

Ujien and Mikan Club are a great take-a-break spot to get away from crowed Omotesando, owned by the real tea shop from Oasaka.
