My brother and I contacted to My Japan Guide to give information about how can we enter to Japan with the measures implemented by the Japan’s government last September 7th from Mexico. We had never contacted a travel agency before but Xavier and Yoko gave us security and confidence with their help and answering every question we had.

The management was simple and fortunately we got to know the beautiful country of Japan 🇯🇵 without a guide, only my brother and I. We recommend My Japan Guide because they care about helping you and providing you with the best service before, during and after your trip.

Thank you so much Xavier for all your support this time. You are the best!

I was on a business trip with a work colleague to Indonesia and decided to work in a long layover in Japan on the return trip home to the US. I've always wanted to visit Tokyo and decided to seek out a tour guide to help me get the most out of a short trip. There were a lot of 3 hour tours out there to see a specific area of Tokyo, but none gave me the feeling that we'd get to see anything more that a typical tourist restaurant or attraction.

I came across My Japan Guide and am so grateful I did. We were arriving in Tokyo on Friday Nov 16 and flying out on Sunday Nov 18, so we had a very limited time. I was able to get in touch with Yoko-san via the website email and she was very prompt and started suggesting itineraries right away. We worked through some logistics and preferences based on things that I wanted to see and do.

I wanted to really experience the food scene in Tokyo especially wagyu and sushi. Yoko-san did not disappoint. She arranged a wonderful wagyu Teppanyaki experience for us on Friday night at a local restaurant that was off the beaten path in a residential neighborhood. We were staying in Shibuya and would never have found this place on our own. Just having her guide us through the subway system was worth the price of admission!!

On Saturday, she had a full day planned for us with visits to various shrines and temples al while making stops for drinks and food along the way. The highlight being a traditional sushi lunch just near the Tsukiji outer market. Yoko-san took care of all the reservations for our meals and was such a great resource communicate with the chef. She got us seats right at the counter and we had an amazing meal.

We saw so much that day visiting various sights around Tokyo. I'm not sure how she was able to squeeze in so much without ever feeling rushed. I can only imagine what she's able to do when you have more time to spend with her.

I can't thank here enough for making our short trip so memorable. We are experienced travelers on business around the globe and I know that there is no way we would have been able to see and do so much without her help. She was so knowledgeable and was able to explain the sites we were visiting.

Thanks again Yoko-san and I can't wait to return with my family to experience more of Japan. My Japan Guide will be the first call I make when planning our trip!!!!

We are a family of 5 people (2 adults and 3 children: 11, 9 and 6 years-old) and we spent a one-week stay in Japan in April 2018. Thanks to My Japan Guide (Xavier and his team), we had a wonderful 3-days experience in Tokyo, Hakone and Kyoto. Xavier and Jonathan were also very helpful and gave us advice for the days we were on our own (visits, restaurants, etc...). Adults and children were very happy to share those moments with them. We have all learnt plenty of things about Japan (History, religion customs, etc...) We recommend strongly to organize your trip with Xavier! Thanks again Xavier and see you maybe next time in Japan

Very pleasant day. Xavier was an excellent guide. Asked me what I wanted to see and then supplemented that with his own suggestions. Having him around to get us from place to place on the subway system was invaluable. I could have never done that myself. Got a great overview of the city. Recommend this tour highly.

Xavier, a Frenchman who has called Japan home for many years, is fabulous! His wit is engaging, his knowledge of Japan and Tokyo was breathtaking, his style is relaxed, he is very affable, and we have no hesitation to recommend!

Our story, we contacted him at 5am Thursday for the first time ever, via his website, enquirer about his offering, and he collected us at 8:25am, and the day we had was worth every expensive penny!

We travelled to 11 sites, temples, shrines, lookouts, gardens, markets, historic sites all via public transport, walking and he wore us out... it was very enjoyable!

He assisted us plan our remaining stay, beyond his paid time, built our confidence and gave us subway/train skills - to a naive kid from country Australia !

After reading the great reviews of Yoko, we booked her to guide us and also arrange the rest of our Japan tour this Jan/feb for 8 days. we started with Toyosu the fish market plus lunch after - we skipped Tsujiki as we had been there recently. the visit was outstanding - seeing the wet market and tuna being cut as well as other live seafood. the lunch afterward by the chef was wonderful with large amount of sashimi and uni! we got such a personal tour experience - definitely recommended! we then toured tokyo for another day and moved on to Kanazawa where Yoko arrange accommodation and booked a spectacular Kaiseki at Guokusen which has a beautiful garden. She preordered a live king crab for us at our request and it was amazing. We then went on to see the snow monkeys, staying at Korakutan for one night (monkeys were all over the building and peeking into the windows - you see lots of them). They were also in the outdoor onsen, but I decided to pass on joining them! it snowed the next day and the snow monkeys performed just as in the videos/photos you see online - there were about 200 of them - definitely worth the visit. We then stayed at the outstanding Aburaya ryokan with fabulous Kaiseki where the chef came into the private room to cut sashimi/sushi personally. We had wanted to see the ice sculptures in Hokkaido, but it was happening on the day we were leaving - Yoko was the only agent who was aware of the ice show at Matsumoto castle and booked us the Marunouchi hotel which was <200 yards to the castle! we were able to watch them get started with blocks of ice in the evening and see the finished product the next morning!
We travelled to all these places by train - it would have been impossible if not the detail oriented Yoko who labelled each envelop with each days ticket, seat details etc. she booked all the accommodations for us and arranged a local guide. When we returned back to Tokyo on our own before our flight back - Yoko was always available on WhatsApp to answer Q and offer suggestions. Having a guide IN Japan itself who is responsive and knowledgeable is priceless. We look forward to our next trip with Yoko. Thank you Yoko for making our trip flawless and marvelous!!

On April 16th we (2 couples) spent a wonderfully curated day in Tokyo lead by Yoko.
Via email we began planning for this day back in January. Yoko was responsive to our initial list of potential activities, but skillfully pointed out time-consuming options better done on our own (going up the Tokyo Skytree and/or Tokyo Tower), and suggested districts and activities not on our initial list that ultimately enhanced the day and made for a much more efficient itinerary. Her turn-around time on emails was always rapid and her thoughts clearly presented.
Yoko was fluent in English, very high energy, was quick to joke and laugh with us, and was just very fun to be with for an 8-hour tour. She was also very responsive to circumstances during the day. One of our members developed a mobility issue late in the day and Yoko seamlessly slowed down our pace and kept close to this individual.
Yoko introduced us to two hidden gems of restaurants (a shabu-shabu restaurant at lunch where she joined us of course; a yakitori restaurant at dinner on our own). We would never have found these on our own. At our request Yoko happily made the yakitori restaurant reservation in the Ginza district with a proprietor who we found out spoke extremely limited English but communicated excellently with hand and facial gestures, a well-designed Japanese/English menu and a big smile. It all made for a very memorable evening.
Yoko certainly provided us a great introduction to Tokyo (the subway/train system, interesting shrines, temples, gardens and retail districts) during our first day in Tokyo. Moreover, she helped us lock in activities for our subsequent days in Tokyo when we were on our own. Thanks to her, we went to the Nezu shrine and garden with azalea bushes in full multi-color bloom, checked out and purchased a Japanese made kitchen knife, and visited two stores specializing in stationery and writing implements.
We would certainly use Yoko again and highly recommend her. She is an exceptional guide.

My wife, and 2 kids, 9 and 8 visited Japan.
We went to Kyoto and Tokyo.
Yoko was incredible. She knew all the best spots, all the best timings (which is critical to miss the crowds) and the right things to do quickly.
If you want to spend time and get all the details, she knows them. If you have little ones and want to make it short and also visit fun things that the kids will like, she can make it happen.
She rented a car (van) for us with a driver when we needed it and she also came with us on the trains and knew all the right stops.
It’s def fun to see Japan thru the eyes of a local. We highly recommended booking with her. You will miss out if you don’t do this properly.
After all, how often do you come to Japan?
Book Yoko, and have a blast.
Thanks Yoko!!! The kids keep asking about you!!
