The area
Address
Neighborhood: Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.

    Loved the unique experience
Loved the experience. My daughter got to spend lots of one on one with the adorable creatures who looked very happy and comfortable in the amazing set up. Staff was very friendly and even brought the cats up to me as I was sitting watching my kids. Very clean, cats looked happy and well looked after. They have treats you can purchase to feed the cats and that worked well. I would definitely recommend. We went late June so no crowds and no long waits.

    Great experience!
I adore cats and had a great time at the cafe! The cats were a bit shy at first and ran away when I tried to pet them (my cat is the same when he meets people for the first time) but after a few minutes the cats were sniffing my belongings and got closer. We went in the morning when they had their breakfast and there were only a few people there so the cats were pretty relaxed.

Calm cat cafe above the city near Yoyogi Park
My grandson was keen to go to a cat cafe and this was our first time. At least 12 beautiful cats there and a tranquil cool spot from which to view the crowds in the street below. Anyone who knows cats will know that they choose whether or not to be petted and these seemed not that keen on petting, but were willing to play (free tassels provide) and eat treats (rather expensive ones) Free cold drinks from the dispensing machine no sign of coffee

To go there is a contribution sadness of the cats. All cats definitely are unhappy and they are losing their hair.it’s reason poor nutrition and stress.I have 4 cats in my home, and because of missing my cat I had gone there in tokyo. My friends and me were expecting happy, healthy and vivacious cats but all they are suffering depression. The place was too hot for us we think that it might a be a reason keeping all cats asleep.I think they were thin so that the customers would buy a junky food for them.Cats were dressed by a worker to be cute but this behaviour normally made a cat really mad!but These cats were just unresponsibly looking this situation explains it learned helplessness!.I think this place is a jail for cat and also were too expensive, and not fit for living a cat.all cats should be checked by a vet and they must be saved from this cafe.

Do not go to a cat cafe. Firstly, the cats look tired and grumpy. They are clearly overstimulated and unhappy. Second, a man had his hands down his trousers and was masturbating. There were children nearby. When I pointed this out to staff, they pretended not to see the problem. At my insistence, they asked him to stop but didn’t kick him out.

I've seen many reviews claiming the cats in this café to be "not very playful" and "unfriendly". On my visit, it's not hard to see why. There is no minimum age limit for this café, and although there are rules against, for example, picking up the cats or running, there are no rules or guidelines on how to interact with the cats.

I visited with my cousin (both adults), yet all other guests in the café were parents with small children. The cats were utterly terrified, sinking as close to walls and cat trees as possible while children under the age of ten batted relentlessly at their faces with cat wands. Many cats in the back room were hiding under the chairs, and although several of them were sleeping soundly, they were still being attacked with feathers on sticks, often in the face. All of the cats appeared to be declawed and therefore had no defense against these brutal children.

Having lived in Japan for a year and a half I am used to the blatant disregard for the wellbeing of animals, but I read reviews of this café and decided it would be a fine place to go. I left after only 15 minutes, and even mentioned to the staff that I found the experience upsetting - they didn't seem to care all that much, and neither did the parents of the children harassing the poor animals.

Please, please don't go to this café. I can't vouch for others, but I will never set foot in another cat café again.

As soon as you enter the place, your time already starts. You are issued a ticket with the current time so staff know how much to charge you (charged in 10 minute increments). It's stupid because you have to waste a few minutes putting your belongings in a locker, putting on their provided slippers and getting your drink from their vending machine.

Once this was all sorted I went in to see barely any energy. All cats looked super exhausted, with the majority of them laying down and some sleeping.

Needless to say, I don't recommend this place to anyone.

Just visited this place randomly as I had heard of cat cafes snd always wanted to check one out. But it was awful. Firstly, it is a ripoff-they charge 550yen pp per 10min, but it starts when they give you a locker key to put your shoes etc in. By the time you actually enter you have 5min max, then they charge another 200yen. But that’s not the worst. The cats appeared drugged, most of them could hardly open their eyes, despite the insisted poking by some kids. It was really weird. There was only one active cat and it appeared petrified.

I've visited this place twice during my trip to Tokyo. The cafe is very clean and tidy, without any smell - a first I've seen in any cat cafe. We paid 550¥ + tax for free drinks and 1 hour of staying. The cats are very adorable, mostly long-haired ones, friendly, well-behaved although they aren't very active and prefer sleeping all day.

The place is very cute and good for pictures, the cats appeared clean and well-fed but that's all about it. They charge you every 10 minutes you spend there and you get a free drink, I wouldn't mind paying more to spend time with cats but I couldn't relax when I was timing myself so I don't get charged 200 yen more. I also regret not doing enough research about Mocha before going, apparently there was a feline parvovirus outbreak in 2018 at one of the stores, I hope they improved the healthcare for their cats since then as the cats appeared quite healthy when I was there, but I wouldn't support this business had I known about the outbreak.

Visited the cat cafe during our stay in Tokyo and was the highlight of our trip.
The cats are beautiful and extremely well looked after - the staff are constantly brushing them and wiping their faces and trimming their nails.
The cat cafe is extremely clean and the cats look as though they are happy - a kitten and a few other cats were running around playing whilst we were there.
Have read reviews of other cat cafes saying the cats looked drugged however this is not the case with this cafe.
Unlimited drinks but tbh if you’re anything like me you will spend to much time playing with the cats.
We bought some treats and fed the cats and it was a great experience.
Would definitely go back here.
