Tokyu's local line running across Setagaya ward. Starts from Sangenjaya, the bustling part of the city, and ends at Shimo-takaido.
If you want a good scene of the cityscape, I recommend riding the first car, where the seats face forward. The train is small and reminds you of a tram.

Take it from the Carrot tower ( terminal station ) ride it to your transfer with Odakyu line it slowly makes it ways in residential areas giving you the opportunity to view a different side of Tokyo. You will meet school kids, housewives, seniors travelling back or from home. THis is a lifeline for them without other means of transportation. The pace is slow.. Ride it before the Tokyo government decides to abolish it.

Was on this train when I visited Gotokuji Temple. Along the way, we can get to see Japan Residential Area. Nice view with quiet surrounding. No matter how far you travel, you will only need to pay 150yen.

Setagaya-line, one of two remaining trams in metro-tokyo, cuts a swath across setagaya ward, the most populous of the 23wards. It is easily one of the most laid back traind in Tokyo. Worth the detour to check out the slow lane in an otherwise hyper hectic metropolis,

All trains appeared to be almost new. There are many historic sites such as Gotokuji Temple, Shoin Shrine and Setagaya Hachimangu Shrine, which are highly recommended to tourists. A train driver and conductor check a ticket or IC card. It is comfortable to ride this tram.

It may have been because there was a street market going on in town, but the trains were packed like sardines.

Operated by the Tokyu Railway company.
The line connects Sangen-Jaya to Shimo-Takaido, in Setagaya, Tokyo. It is served by 2 compartment electric car sets. It is also referred to as a tramway.
It is the lifeline of the local community and the ride along the line provides a nostalgic feeling.

Convenient, a little nostalgic even though cars on the track have been renewed and thoroughly modern.
