Due to flight delays I was in Haneda Airport for an extended period. Clean toilets, lots of food choices, comfortable seating area and connected to an airport hotel... these made our airport stay a pleasant one.

A very nice and modern airport. Very spacious and well organised. The observation deck is open air and a good place to relax.

United Airlines had given us the Immigration and Custom forms to complete before arrival. The Immigration Station was a long walk from the arrival gate. There were long hallways and turns and more hallways. There were signs all along the way. There were moving walkways all the way to the Immigration Station and Restrooms along the way. The Immigration Station was well staff and the lines moved very fast. The baggage area with free luggage carts was the next stop after leaving Immigration. Luggage carts are not permitted within three feet of the baggage carousel. Once all the baggage is claim Customs must be cleared before leaving the Baggage Area into the Arrival Area of the terminal. There are two ATM on the outside of the Customs Check Point to the Left in the Arrival Area just a little behind the Custom Area Wall. Straight to the left is the Bus Ticket Office that sells tickets for all the bus lines that leaves from the airport. Straight ahead in the center is a Information Center. To the Right are Vending Machines for Bus Tickets and Train Tickets. The Train Station is also on the Right side. The Bus Station is on the lower floor of the airport. Take the last bank of elevators at the rear of the airport to the ground level. The Bus Line have Stop Numbers. Yokohama City Airline Terminal (YCAT) is a hub that connects with both airports, others cities, hotels, buses, trains and cabs. YCAT is in the middle of Yokohama.
