Meeting Andy and joining him on his bike tour is one of the highlights of our trip to Tokyo. His knowledge of the local area, Japanese customs and everyday life gives you a good insight as to how people of Japan live. We have walked all over Tokyo seeing the usual tourist sites but Andys tour topped them all. For anyone that maybe concerned with the 15km ride don't be it's very flat and easy going with many interesting stops along the way and the food is lovely.

Hi Liz, It was brilliant cycling the back streets of West Tokyo with David and yourself Thursday afternoon. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment and uploading the excellent photos, your generosity is greatly appreciated. Happy to hear that it was one of the highlights of your trip and it's always a pleasure having a chat with a friendly couple from Melbourne. I hope the trip home was without incident and be sure to say hello if you're ever back in Tokyo. Cheers, Andy!

We all loved our cycling and food tour with Andy. Andy was very informative and took us to places we would never have found on our own. The bikes were easy to ride and had comfortable seats. There was plenty of opportunity to stop for photos and a chat along with tasting some local cuisine. If we are ever back in Tokyo again we will book another tour for sure! Thank you Andy, this was one of the highlights of our trip.

It was a really nice on a 2.5 hr bike ride with Andy, to see how the locals live and eat. He took us into streets and alleys that we would have never known ourselves, nor venture, explained certain quirks of the Japanese and their lifestyles. And Andy always made sure we were ok with the pace, checked in if anyone needs a bathroom break, etc. Highly recommend to everyone, even if you think you are seasoned traveller!

Andy was knowledgeable, kind, and communicative. Even though almost NO ONE wears helmets in Tokyo he had one and provided it for me. Great time!! The neighborhoods, collectibles mall, and the food all great and things we wouldn't have found on our own.

Hi 'TAF218', It was fantastic cycling around the backstreets of West Tokyo with you both on Tuesday, couldn't have asked for a nicer day! Always happy to provide a helmet but you're correct, the sight of them in Tokyo is few and far between. Really glad to hear that you enjoyed getting off the beaten path and I hope you're enjoying yourselves down in Kyoto, Andy!

Thoroughly enjoyed Andy’s tour of his local neighbourhood in West Tokyo and learned so much about what it’s like to raise a family there. The tour was a great mix of cycling along back streets and laneways, and some walking. Groups are limited in size - we had 5 people. Streets were narrow and crowded, which made for a great atmosphere - but don’t go if you’re not comfortable on a bike!
