The area
Neighborhood: Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.

Typical Train Station Shopping
May 2019 • Couples
You will find something similar to Atre in almost every large train station in Tokyo and elsewhere in Japan. You will also find Atre in other stations as well.It provides a large number of small to large shops providing just about anything you need and if you like shopping and crowds this is the place.

Small, with food
Nov 2017 • Solo
Small department store at shinagawa station that has 2-3 floors. The ground floor has dean & deluca, and small sections selling accessories and knick knacks. The upper floor has restaurants and food

Convenient but not special
Apr 2017 • Solo
The east area of Shinagawa Station has changed dramatically in this 15 years.
There was nothing special like shopping buldings. This building is one of the buildings that was built within the period. The shopping mall in itself is not so big but so small. What is typical to this shopping complex is its accesibility as this building stands besides the station therefore, almost no walking is neccesary. Can take super express at Shinagawa Station, so useful to purchase souvenirs.
