Odaiba seems to be a reclamation land or at least a harbor area. Surrounded by : Diver City Mall, Aqua City, Ocean Decks, Daiba Parks, rainbow bridge, Liberty Statue and not far from Tokyo Big Sight

After visiting attractions in main Tokyo, a visit to Odaiba would be a break. Just relax..., do some shopping..., admire Kenzo Tange's Fuji TV HQ building..., sit and look at the Rainbow bridge,,

I made it a point to spend at least one day at Odaiba Waterfront whenever I visit Tokyo. This is one of the best entertainment districts in Tokyo. From the breathtaking view of the waterfront at the elevated walkway (one of the best elevated walkways in the world) to the Gundam statue and the Toyota museum--this is truly an amazing... More

Odaiba is really good to enjoy Tokyo, for those who like entertainments. Many places to enjoy and relax, but has a different atmosphere compared to other places in Tokyo. Recommended for Young people, friends, family, couple trips.

We are told by the locals that shops at Odaiba tend to have lower prices comparing to the ones in the city. But we thought prices are pretty much the same.

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
