The only reason we gave this review a 3 was because of the staff who go above and beyond to please you. We opted for the captains plan meal on the sunset cruise. The food was absolutely not to our liking. The issue is this excursion is simply not ready to accommodate to foreign tourists. Zero English spoken. All instructions were in Japanese, no comments as to what you may be viewing and you only get the night light view for about 15 minutes. The majority of the cruise is done in the cargo area of the bay. This could be a far better experience with some commentary. At present time, I would not recommend this event. The vessel is beautiful but other than that, not much to add.

My Dining Companion and I chose the French Menu to celebrate a special anniversary and we were not disappointed. The flavours and presentation of each of the courses was of a very high standard.
The service was excellent and added to the pleasure of a beautiful evening on Tokyo Bay.

Tokyo Bay dinner cruise that was about 2.5 hours of cruising and a five course set menu (appetiser/soup/entree/main/dessert). My girlfriend and I had arranged this as a special dinner after having enjoyed a river cruise in Thailand a few years ago.

We arranged this through an airline activities website and so met a guide at the Hinode Station who brought us to board the cruise at Hinode Pier. The guide spoke English, purchased the tickets (prepaid) and let us know when to board (as boarding announcements were in Japanese).

We had a great time eating, drinking, taking photos after getting on board Moderna (the newer of two cruise ships owned by the company). The dinner service was delicious and service was excellent. There is also a pianist playing music intermittently through the cruise (classical, Christmas and also engagement/birthday music). After dinner you can feel free to go to the top deck to take more photos and enjoy the view (but bring a coat for the winter chill).

The view of Tokyo Bay at night is beautiful. You get views of Tokyo tower and actually pass under the rainbow bridge there and back. We saw an engagement and two birthday/anniversary celebrations that night.

Would go on this cruise again if I ever find myself back in Tokyo.

NB We had to pay for drinks (non-alcoholic/alcoholic) on top of the cruise fare.

The worst Countdown Cruise we ever had.
The meal was good and the ship was really nice. New Years Eve went without a bang. As promised we would see the fireworks, but unfortunately the captain of the ship positioned the ship too far away and proceed to sail off in the opposite direction of the fireworks. The fireworks were hardly visible and almost silent. We've would missed if somebody wouldn't point to it.
Most guest were casual, no entertainments during meal, no celebration atmosphere at all.
All in all a disappointment. If you celebrate New Year in Tokyo, we would recommend to stay around the Tokyo Tower area instead.

Winter may not seem like the best time for a cruise of Tokyo Bay, but Symphony's dinner cruise was an excellent diversion even on a cold night. Dinner was served in an elegant and spacious banquet hall -- not cold at all and very comfortable. The intercontinental buffet is comparable to most hotel buffets, with enough choices for a person with food restrictions to have plenty to eat. Hanging out at the deck of the ship was wonderful, even if it was almost freezing because the view was worth it. Perfect date place, and nice for families, too. Highly recommended!

Symphony Tokyo Bay Cruise offers exactly that, the life of a superstar at a very reasonable price albeit for a couple of hours. Symphony's offers lunch, afternoon, sunset and dinner cruises on Tokyo Bay, allowing you to sit on the top deck sipping a cocktail or enjoying local and international cuisine. The 70 meter Classics yacht gracefully glides passengers around to the most popular sights in Tokyo Bay including the Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Gate Bridge, Wakasu and Odaiba seaside parks before concluding at the Hinode Passenger Terminal.
Symphony Tokyo Bay Cruises offers cruise and restaurant packages starting from ¥1,500 for the shorter afternoon cruise to lavish dinner packages setting you back up to ¥20,000. Alternatively, if you really want to impress your friends, you can hire the entire yacht! I highly recommend the sunset cruise as it really does allow you to view Tokyo by day and night, with the freedom to wander around the deck and snap away to your hearts content.
When book a cruise, the time involved on the following cruises,
LUNCH 1150-1400 hrs 130 minutes
AFTERNOON 1500-1550 hrs 50 minutes
SUNSET 1620-1820 hrs 120 minutes
DINNER 1900-2130 hrs 150 minutes
Book a private room for Weddings, Showers, Birthday Parties and much more.
You can Charter the entire boat for events and more..
And for special meetings and small gatherings, Book the VIP ROOM...
We heard that the Sunset & Dinner cruises are very romantic. On board for your enjoyment you can purchase snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, also the staff is very friendly and very polite.
Our cruise was set for the afternoon cruise after lunch and the cruise and the skyline of Tokyo was very interesting and relaxing; it was a beautiful day on the bay for a cruise. You can find the cruise added to a 1 day tour of Tokyo. A must do adventure after riding on a bus around Tokyo.
On the cruise itself, disabled will have no problems boarding, but check with your tour guide before booking a 1 day tour of Tokyo...
We had a lot of fun snapping pictures and enjoying the boat ride and looking at the Skyline of Tokyo...

This was a truly excellent trip, and great value for money (especially as we got a 10% discount from the Viator company for a first time booking). The Symphony is a beautiful boat, the staff are welcoming, attentive and professional, the food was superb, the views at night in the Tokyo Bay breath-taking. A memorable trip for us. The funniest thing was that there was a lovely lady playing the piano and as we left the port, she payed the music from The Titanic! The port is easily accessible with the JR line - just follow the excellent photo directions provided by the company - no need for a taxi. It is good to make an effort and get dressed up, but it is not essential.

First off, I tried to book online via their site, but the date I wanted wasn't available, so I called the number listed on their site. The price online was 8200 yen per person. When I booked by phone, the rep took down the meal we chose/cruise time, and I figured all was well. Checked my Visa the next morning, and we were charged 11000 yen each. For a party of 4, that was an additional $200. I emailed them to ask what happened, and they said they had no reservation for me. Turns out the number they have on their site redirects you to HatoBus Tours, NOT Symphony directly. HatoBus charges more, but includes a bus ride back to your hotel. Not cool.

Now, onto the cruise itself. It's pretty easy to get there, but once there, good luck finding anyone who can speak English. The calls to board are all in Japanese, but thankfully they have a tv screen showing you boarding info in English. The tour was entirely in Japanese, so no clue what we were supposed to look for.

The food: our room, the Polonaise, had maybe 30 people in it. The buffet was out when we entered the room, and some made a beeline for the food/trough. By the time our table got up to get our food, there was literally nothing left on many platters. NOTHING. We had dim sum dumplings, rice, and bread. Pretty pathetic.

All in all, I would never pay for this again, as it was a rip off and the redirecting to HatoBus (then playing dumb via email, saying that they don't know how that happened...) isn't cool at all.

Your money is better spent elsewhere.

We took the Symphony Lunch cruise of 2 hours from Hinode terminal. This was covered in our Hatobus package. The cruise was an experience. Beautiful well decorated luxury cruise. The food in the restaurant inside the cruise was delicious. The buffet lunch was well spread with both Japanese and Western cuisine. Enjoyed the pork dish and grilled fish the most. The salad and deserts were also excellent. After lunch went to the deck and enjoyed the view if Tokyo bay including Haneda Airport, Tokyo Disneysea, Port areas, Rainbow bridge, Odaiba, Tokyo skytree and Tokyo Tower. We enjoyed a lot. The time passed so quickly. Overall great experience and Highly recommend.

We were taken on the Symphony Boat Cruise tour of the Tokyo Harbour while on business in Tokyo with the SJAC (Society of Japanese Aerospace Companies). It was a dinner cruise and we arrived around 6:30pm. We soon boarded and were taken up to the 2nd Floor whereupon they took us to a dining room, with a full width balcony across the aft of the boat. We started with welcome drinks and then proceeded to being offered beer, white wine or red wine. Before lunching we went out to the balcony (very spacious) and some photos of the amazing Tokyo skyline. On returning inside we were met with a very pleasant pate starter, followed by a fish course, a soup course a steak course (think it was Wagu beef) which was a fantastic piece of meat cooked perfectly. This was finished with a trio of desserts. The food was all very enjoyable and the drinks available were very good too. I'm sure there are many options, but our package was very good and we were very thankful to our Japaneses hosts. The waiters ans waitresses were very attentive and if you left your glass empty would soon swoop to fill your glass. I actually had to slow down and leave some in my glass (which never happens). The views out in the harbour were amazing and you pass under a few well lit and beautiful bridges. The moon was out and we cruised past the Tokyo Disneyland with lasers in the sky above the large man made volcano. All in all a fantastic way to spend an evening. The pictures tell it all !
The cruise lasted 2.5 hours.
