If you are staying in the area, then you get a great view across Tokyo from the Observation level. Check the opening times as it varies on different days. We arrived in the late afternoon, not realising that it was close to sunset, so once we arrived at the top it was crowded with people with their cameras strategically set... More

Excellent view of Tokyo and that too a 360 degree!!! Out of all the observatories that we visited, we felt this as the best- at the 40th floor of world trade centre building. And since we were foreigners we got a 20% discount by showing the Tokyo hand guide

If I lived in Tokyo this would be one of the places I go to think and relax. The observatory has a great atmosphere. It's quiet with low lighting at night, and it's not too crowded. We went with friends, but it is also good for couples (very romantic). The pictures turned out great, and it was reasonably priced (620... More

This is undoubtedly something you must do when you visit tokyo. I know there are other observation decks but this one is cheap at 620 yen and when we visited it wasn't overcrowded at all. The views are absolutely staggering and there are plenty of places to sit down and take it all in

We took a break at the Daimon subway station and noticed the observatory sign, we decided to check it out and were delighted by the outcome. The view from the top of the building allow to see most of Tokyo and the bay. The view does not go as far as the Skytree tower but you are much closer from... More

I've been to many observatories now and this one was by far the best. Here's why. Firstly the price, it was only 620 yen (USD 6) per person, the cheapest I've been to. There was no queuing compared to the long lines in other cities. Despite being only 40 floors or so, the views are quite good, specially of the... More

Here you have breathtaking views of Tokyo, at nice is amazing! you avoid the crowds of the Tokyo Tree and you can see many landmarks like Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Tree, Rainbow Bridge, High-speed train rail and the futuristic city that is Tokyo.

There are a fair number of skyscraper observatories, but I really like this one as it had great unobstructed views of both Tokyo bay and Tokyo Tower. It's not as crowded as some more well-known places, and the cost is really moderate too.

Day 1 in Tokyo walking to the station saw the world trade centre building and after seeing the reviews prior decided to give it a go. It was the first thing we did in Tokyo and a great start to the trip to get an understanding of just how big Tokyo really is! We spent a good hour there walking... More

We arrived in the World Trade Center by chance, when walking into the station. We found out, that with the cost of 600 yen, we can get up to the 40th floor observation deck. We went up just before sunset and the view was truly amazing. We found it even better than from Tokyo Tower or Skytree (because you can... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
