「最初の麻布区役所跡」をご存じでしょうか？都営地下鉄大江戸線・麻布十番駅の７番出口前の信号を渡たり、麻布十番大通りを六本木方面に歩いた先にあります。
龍澤寺門前を目標に探してみてくださいね。説明板によると1878年廃藩置県によって江戸は東京府となり郡区町村編制法が施行されて東京には１５の区が置かれました。
麻布区等の区務所がここに設置され明治11年には麻布区役所として開庁され近代の地方自治の発祥の地であることが解ります。当時の面影はなくなってしまいますが歴史を感じることができました。

麻布十番商店街から少し裏手に入った小路沿いの「龍澤寺」の門の脇に「最初の麻布区役所跡」の案内板があります。案内板が小さい上に、お寺の門が漆黒で艶のある派手なものに変わったので、案内板が目立ちません。よく探さないと見逃してしまいます。

明治6年に麻布区等の区務所がここに設置、明治11年には麻布区役所として開庁された。まわりは静かであるが、少し歩けば麻布十番の商店街があり賑やかである。

麻布十番商店街から裏道へ抜ける途中の道、龍澤寺の入り口に案内板があります。めざして探さないとお寺の看板と勘違いしそうで気づかずに通りすぎてしまいます。わざわざ観光にいく場所ではないです
