I have been to Japan twice in the past, April of 2017 and May of 2018. I was introduced to Tokyo Water Taxi from a friend who has been on it. I loved it so much that I went on it every time I visited Tokyo. First time was at night time and we enjoyed the night view and it happened to be on my birthday, so it was very special, and the second was during the day and we were able to see more. I enjoy the train rides, too, but if you want to get away and have a chance to breath, this is the way to get around Tokyo. Pick a starting point and ending point, and plan your day and place to visit around it. For an example, we started our day at Asakuksa, took Rikisha to Skytree Tower, then from there, we went to the nearby Tokyo Water Taxi stop. We got off at Nihonbashi, which is the oldest and historical bridge in Tokyo. You can also visit Tsukiji fish market during the day, too. You can search the map of Tokyo Water Taxi on google, which is helpful. This is a MUST DO in Tokyo and I highly recommend this to everyone, even to my Japanese friends!

Dear John T Thank you very much for your two times boarding. I am happy that I can support you to enjoy a wonderful journey. As drawn on Ukiyoe, Edo was a city of water until 150 years ago. We are trying to revive the watarways blocked by goverment as a free space. Next time you come to Tokyo, Please spend a pleasant and exciting time on our boat again. I am looking forward to seeing you again. All the staff

The Tokyo Water Taxi is an exquisite way to experience the underutilized waterways of Tokyo. It was a bright and clear January afternoon so we were blessed to have the best possible sunny and picturesque experience! The ride was quite calm, and won’t make you ill. The Water Taxi painted in cheerful yellow is extremely clean and in mint condition. Windows were carefully polished to ensure a smooth ride to weather all conditions. Be sure to consider the following: bring a parka or a trench coat. Hats and hairpieces can fly off; we advise you to keep them home. A cross body purse is the best choice to secure your belongings. The crew members and staff, each equipped with their favorite fun facts and charisma, were hospitable and cautious to warn you so that your phone won’t slip into the waters. Bring your loved ones. They won’t want to miss this!

This is the best way to view Tokyo in my opinion. We got a chance to ditch the busy streets and trains of Tokyo for a very intimate travel experience through the waterways of Tokyo. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend chartering a boat while in Tokyo.

I took an evening cruise from Tennnozu. After strolling on the stylish boardwalk, went aboard on the Tokyo Bay scenic cruise. Starting in the twilight hour is so romantic, city lights are glowing, passing boats slow down for each other while proceeding on canals. Passing under the Rainbow bridge, looking over aging Tsukiji fish market, ever-changing Metro Tokyo from the water was beyond my imagination even though I lived here more than 25years. Beautiful Tokyo Tower over HamaRikyu garden was so very nostalgic... I would love to request a totally differnt ride, historic waterway inland Tokyo in daylight, for my next adventure. Or, maybe "Ohanami cruise" for cherry blossom viewing in a spring.
