Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.

3月の早朝に参拝しました。愛宕グリーンヒルズの一角にある近代的な寺院です。少し高台にありますが登りはエスカレーターがあります。曹洞宗の禅寺です。1601年に創建された寺院です。現在の地には関東大震災後に移ったとのことです。静かで綺麗な寺院でした。

愛宕グリーンヒルズ横の小高い丘にある曹洞宗のお寺で、お寺へは専用の上りエスカレーターが設置されているので、楽に参拝することができます。
歴史あるお寺ですが本堂はじめ近代的な造りで、境内には特に見るべきものはなく、観光目的で訪れるお寺ではないと思います。

後ろに愛宕グリーンヒルズフォレストタワーをひかえた近代的なお寺です。エスカレータを上げってお参りする、というちょっと変わったお寺です。都会ならではのお寺の形態、と感心しました。

この青岸院は17世紀初めに青松禅寺の住職が建立しました。最初は青松禅寺にあったのですが関東大震災で考壽院とともに現在の場所に移設しました。エスカレータで登ると本堂があります。場所と現代とがこの寺をいかしています。

虎ノ門界わいは坂の町。
都市開発で大型ビル建設が相次いで、昔からのお寺の多くはその陰に埋もれている。
ここもその一つ。
愛宕グリーンヒルズという大型ビルと隣り合わせ。
エスカレーターで、登るのがいかにも都市のお寺。

曹洞宗の寺院です。交差点の芝学園下に面して建っています。丘（山?）の上にありますが、上りはエスカレーターがあります。このエスカレーターで上がると、更に右手にエスカレーターがあります。上りはよいですが、下りは難儀するでしょう。立派な建物です。
