Gundam Statue

A big huge Gundam statue in front of Tokyo Divers City Mall. The statue came from the Japanese Gundam Comics. The mall it self provides lots of shops

In 2010 I was introduced into the world of Gundam, From there and 400+ Gundam plastic model kits (gunpla) later I am absolutely and 110% a massive Gundam fan! (I have Zeon's logo tattooed on my forearm) So realistically many of you may not agree with me on this review. However you don't have to be a fan to want... More

If you are fan of Japan Mecha anime of 70-80 you must take time to visit Gundam front during your trip in Tokyo. This Gundam is a realistic representation 1:1 of my fovourite hero when I was a child! Strongly recommended!

It took a while to get there as the buses weren't the friendliest to non-Japanese visitors but once there, the experience is nothing short of epic. The ever-present on Google Images statue is even better in real life, and for a lifelong fan, it was fanboy mode: on for me! The toys and memorabilia are also much more affordable here.... More

The Gundam Front located at 7th floor in the Diver City. I 'accidentally' saw the signboard during window shopping in the mall. The time I visited was around 7:30pm and some of the areas were closed for visiting. Lots of Gundam stuffs are available here but I think the price is slight higher (compare to tax-free shop). But it worth... More

Very easy to find...right by the 2nd floor eatery. The life size statue of Gundam provided many fun opportunities to take pictures of. Also, you can walk between the legs of Gundam, there is a counter on the side to show how many have gone through!

Diver city is fantastic. Grab heaps of bargain for shopping there and make sure to always eat as much sushi train as you can when go to Japan. Gigantic Gundam statue. A must visit.

Best to visit at night, you can get dinner in the food court first at 2F. Then just exit the food court you can see the statue

The life size Gundam is very impressive. But the exhibition is not that great. The video show is pretty meh... And the exhibition hall display items are relatively lame. The custom gunpla box painting is ok. In my opinion, the paid zone is not worth the entry fee. Free zone has enough for regular Gundam fans. They really could improve... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
