This was the first stop we visited in Odaiba, it was very well maintained and spacious. Most of the things were quite expensive so we didn't shop much here. But there were other places to visit in Odaiba so it wasn't a wasted trip.

Passed through after visiting the Toyota Mega Web showroom. Good range of shops and restaurants plus looks amazing. Loved the ceiling lighting that changed colours as the day went on. Found a great Chinese to eat at in the Venus Fort 2F

I was impressed with the design of this shopping centre. There were a lot of shops and divided clearly for someone was never been here before. A must visit shopping area!

The interior resembles Caesers Palace forum, down to fountain and ceilings that go from dawn to sunset as you shop. Wandering through is a joy. Great shops, some cool gadgets and clothes. Highlight was a classic car museum. Lots of Toyotas through the ages, but some beaut American and European classics in mint condition. Right next to a 190m Ferris... More

After so many trips to Tokyo it was a first to visit Odaiba for us. Did some homework and noted that with limited time we should zoom into the few more interesting plc – Fort Venus! We changed train from Shimbashi, and alight at Tokyo Teleport station. Just walk mins to the Palette Town, with the big sky wheel. VenusFort... More

Me and a friend stayed at nearby Grand Nikko Hotel so we decided to visit this place. There are lots of international shops (Nike, Zara, Puma, etc). A lot of the stores offered deep discount so for me this place feels more like an outlet mall. Nonetheless, great mall, cheaper price, I can't complain.

Venus fort has fancy interior with part of the ceilings illuminated to look like sky with some clouds. Every now and then the tone chances to mimic night and day. There are many shops, some outlet ones, but many of them had no really good deals. Most brands were completely strange to European customers.

This is a mid-sized indoor mall, mainly fashion stores and a few restaurants. The decor is supposed to make you feel like you are in some Italian city - pillars and archways, a few statues, fountains, murals of Tuscany, ceilings painted as pretend clouds. But it is not the easiest mall to get to audit was not at all crowded.... More

If you're looking to shop and are in Odaiba, you have quite a few options, but VenusFort is beautifully built on the inside and can be enjoyable. It isn't something unique to Japan though, so short-stay tourists may want to skip it.

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
