Venus fort has fancy interior with part of the ceilings illuminated to look like sky with some clouds. Every now and then the tone chances to mimic night and day. There are many shops, some outlet ones, but many of them had no really good deals. Most brands were completely strange to European customers.

This is a mid-sized indoor mall, mainly fashion stores and a few restaurants. The decor is supposed to make you feel like you are in some Italian city - pillars and archways, a few statues, fountains, murals of Tuscany, ceilings painted as pretend clouds. But it is not the easiest mall to get to audit was not at all crowded.... More

If you're looking to shop and are in Odaiba, you have quite a few options, but VenusFort is beautifully built on the inside and can be enjoyable. It isn't something unique to Japan though, so short-stay tourists may want to skip it.

There are a quite a few shops here but to be honest I couldn't find anything of real value. Some of the shops seem to be thrown together whilst others only cater for small sizes. Ok for a quick look but there are better nearby.

There is a shuttle bus from most hotels that drops you in the parking lot area of this mall. There is no real useful signage showing you how to get into the mall. I wasted about 10 minutes trying to figure this out. Luckily, I found a map and realized that I had to take an elevator to the mall.... More

Very beautiful mall in Tokyo. Reminiscent of a Vegas hotel with high end shops. Toyota has a museum and lots of attractions nearby as well.

The atmosphere of Europe is truly here. Once I entered, it didn't feel like I was in Japan. It took me somewhere else. Every corner was painted and it was built beautifully as in Europe.

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
