The area

Address
Neighborhood: Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.

COREDO MUROMACHI
Coredo Muromachi is a 24-story complex building with restaurants on the 1st to 4th basement floors, a multipurpose hall such as a theater on the 5th to 6th floors, and an office building on the 10th to 21th floors.
The opening was a big topic at the time of opening in 2010, but inrecent years, due to the influence of corona, etc., vacant stores have became conspicuous in commercial facilities.

I came here to shop/eat at the Nihonbashi Dashi bar. This was a great stop on my last day in Japan, we stocked up on ingredients to make dashi back home in Australia. You can see the bonito flakes being made. This store is genuine and gave me an english brochure on the Japanese cuisine.
I can't find the dashi bar as a restaurant but it is on Coredo Muromachi 1F, 2-2-1 Nihonbashi-Muromachi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo

You can get a lunch soup for only 360 made from their dashi stock. Highly recommend having lunch here.
Very easy to find Mitsukoshimae and lots of signs as soon as you get off the platform.

To get there make sure to take the Ginza line till Mitsukoshimae. There may be a line up about 15 min . It's super busy on weekends but and more pleasant on weekdays.

Art aquarium was waste of time and money. The place was too crowded and there was no system to control it. The place was too small and the lighting presentation was bad

Three stunning modern buildings are artfully arranged with restaurants and shops - some of "tourist appeal" on the ground floors, in the rapidly developing Nihonbashi area.

We enjoyed our shopping visit to buy Kiya knives. Excellent quality and ancient Japanese craftsmanship. Prices matched the quality. Excellent selection and service.

however number of shops are so far limited. so you have to think Coredo Muromachi 1 and Coredo Muromachi2, 3 and Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi as one big complex so that you can enjoy shopping including the famous Janapese "Depa-Chika" food hunting!

Three buildings of Japan (and international) fine products - mostly household and food, but also clothes, glasses, ... All displayed in such pretty and attractive ways, one can just spend the whole day admiring.
